There are libraries in many large cities that have archived copies of Hawaii newspapers. I remember back in the mid 70’s doing research in New Orleans using such a method.

Very hard to edit thousands of stored microfiched copies all across the country. Ones that have not been edited...at all.

I think there are about 5 libraries in the entire US which have the archived microfilms. No actual paper copies that we’ve been able to find.
