Well anything this strong, I don’t think any building can be made to withstand it. But in Japan, one of the good things that came out of WWII is they had to rebuild their whole country and they made all their buildings resistant to quakes and they often have very low death tolls when quakes hit.

They dealt well with yesterday’s shaker for sure, I am not geologically savy, but I don’t see how much of a tsunami can affect the West Coast here
