Tsunami aren't really a problem when you are in deep ocean water, its when you get near the continental shelf that the problem starts.

If you were out past the continental shelf on this one the wave might be ten feet high and doubtful even that. Surface waves caused by winds are much more of a concern.

Same here, I would cancel my TV service and even cancel my gas heat before I would lose my cable modem! (I could move us all into the same room with our computers and use the residual heat from the comps and us to warm the room!)
