You forgot to mention that event though they “move forward” - if it then still fails (as IMO it will) - they still looose much of their radical base....
If the Rats do reconciliation then come around August and September all the GOP has to ask voters, “has your premiums gone down like the Democrats promised?”. When the answers are “no” then the voters will turn on the Rats so fast their heads will spin.
The next pubbie president and congress have to be ready to undo some of the damage. W. treated everything SlicKKK had ever done as if it were written in stone.
I highly doubt they have the votes in Congress..
“I always wanted to pay twice for health insurance - my familys and for someone who just snuck across the border.”
Not to mention the upcoming $hit quality medicine endemic to same.
The only 'Republican' to vote for it (Cao - Louisiana) said that he wouldn't do it again.
Pelosi doesn’t have the votes to pass the Senate bill, so where does that leave the BO amendments expected next week?
As an alternative, if BO decides on a smaller bill, there is no legislative language — there is no bill.
What am I missing?
Obama must have a death wish for the rest of his Presidency!

He has a death with for this great country and it’s people.
Would the Dems be running into the Byrd rule?
Picture this. Over 65% of the voting public is against this healthcare bill. That means that 60-70 million voting people are against this.
The dweebs in congress propose to go against this. It simply will not happen. And if it did then since reconciliation has been used to pass this montrosity will now be used to reverse on a simple majority.
Do you have any idea how damaged the democrats are? No worries. His approvals are in the low 40’s soon to be in the high 30’ after 16 months in office. Are you kidding? This guy is not coming back. What you should worry about is the amount of damage he creates as he leaves office.
Yeh, then they can go home and say we were against it, before we were for it - that’s going to play well at home. LOL Wonder what kinda jobs they are going to promise them after they march off the cliff?
SHOCKA!
After the Mass election, Michael Barone wrote a piece suggesting that if you look at how different areas in Mass voted, the trend was about -15 for the Dems from 2008 to 2010 — i.e., if Obama got 60% of a town’s votes, Coakley got 45% — and it was remarkably consistent statewide. With a huge grain of salt, he extrapolated that any House Dem in a district where Obama got less than 65% could theoretically be vulnerable in November. Which means that approx. 150 House Dems could be vulnerable, with only about 100 safe.
Nobody thinks that 150 House Dems are really in trouble, but if even half or a third that number feel they are, is Pelosi really going to get every member that she got to vote for the HOUSE bill (back in the happier days of early November) to vote for the Senate bill or the Obama mongrel? She’d have to hold basically every single one of them, unless you actually think some former “no” votes are now going to switch to “yes.”
It’s hard to have 100% compliance with a 218-person suicide pact — I suspect there was resistance even at Jonestown. Put another way, are vulnerable Dems going to crack under a little Pelosi arm-twisting, when angry voters have their b*lls in a vise?
“...”accepting of the status quo” in which insurance companies mistreat consumers. “
Oh, right, Nancy, let’s get rid of those insurance companies so the government can start doing what it does best ... mistreating consumers.
Notice how her eyeballs keep bouncing all over, and how her voice has a quiver to it...nerves? Mark Levin says she sounds more and more like Katherine Hepburn...
Can you imagine the spew that’s going to come out of these people if/when we ever get them hauled up on the charges they deserve and send them off to the hoosegow? They are going to babble boosh!t that will make the al-Q bums in dirty nightshirts look like rhodes scholars.
When they start spewing, let’s give them some timely “Chicago Way” advice....shudup!
