Taylor Hicks was the only really great winner. Show is going downhill the last few years mainly IMHO because the music stinks. It`s all modern music now, I rarely ever heard the songs before, that they are singing now. They used to cover a wider range of music.

Also I was afraid the show was going gay, first you have Doogie Howser, now Ellen.

Hicks was a great entertainer but as a recording artist, he’s a joke. Exactly as Simon predicted.

I agree with you though that he made Idol that season and the entertainment factor has been low since.
