Will Breazeale, candidate for United States Congress, is headed to California for a fundraising event that will feature some familiar Hollywood names. Breazeale will spend the evening in Malibu, to attend the Gala Event hosted by the Political Action Committee, Combat Vets For Congress.
The event includes a dinner and reception with many stars of stage and screen. Most notably in attendance will be Alex Trebek, longtime host of the popular game show Jeopardy. He will be joined by singer and actress Connie Stevens, best known for her USO appearances with Bob Hope and her Billboard hit Sixteen Reasons. Also in attendance will be Dick Van Patten, star of the late 70s sitcom Eight Is Enough.
Its such an honor to be embraced by my fellow brothers in arms, observed Breazeale. To be endorsed by Combat Vets For Congress, and be welcomed to spend the evening with so many kind, conservative celebrities is very exciting.
Also attending the event will be Robert Conrad, famous for his starring role on the television show Wild, Wild, West, Jack Scalia of Dallas and Remington Steele, Buzz Aldrin, pilot of the first lunar landing in history, and the Hon. Barry M. Goldwater, a former U.S. Congressman.
You look at the names on the list and it is hard not to be excited. So many very talented and very patriotic Americans in one room is pretty overwhelming. For them to acknowledge and embrace my service to my country is very moving, Breazeale said.
The three time Iraq War veteran joins 17 of his fellow veterans, including Congressman Duncan Hunter of California for an evening with the stars. The event will raise money for fiscally conservative combat veterans that have been endorsed by Combat Vets For Congress. Their mission statement reads in part:
The Combat Veterans For Congress PAC is dedicated to supporting the election of fiscally conservative Combat Veterans to Congress. We seek Combat Veterans running for Congress who believe in limited government, will rein in the out of control spending of Congress, are committed to preserving and defending the U.S. Constitution, and will support the independence and freedom of the individual as outlined in the Bill of Rights.

I honestly thought he was a flame-throwing liberal. I'm stunned. I knew Pat Sajak was an unapologetic conservative and Republican, but Trebek is surprising, to say the least.
I heard Chuck Woolery was an unabashed conservative, too. Maybe it has something to do with game shows.
The only Republican to ever win that Seat was Alexander H. Jones in 1868.
That would make it so much sweeter and would definetly be a ‘Scott Brown’ moment here in district 7. I believe if we show Breazeale the same support we give Rubio or Allen- It won’t be close!
“Maybe it has something to do with game shows. “
It does, and Merv Griffin.
Trebek and Sajak contribute both their time and money to conservative causes.
