We just had a H.S. open by the name of Hough (pronouced Ho)High named after some local politician. The parents tried to get the name changed with no luck

That brings to mind Overfelt High School in San Jose — their football team wasn't all that great but there was clearly good reason for their cheerleaders to be 'over-felt' girls.

We have a Morgan High in the area and I hear tell that the opposing team’s cheerleaders liked to chant, “Big M, little organ!”

Or maybe it was the Morgan High cheerleaders, hmmm.

One poster told a story a while back about some cheerleaders at Norfolk HS who got reprimanded over a cheer that went...

"We don't smoke
We don't drink
Norfolk! Norfolk! Norfolk!"

'over-felt' girls

Like H.S. boys need any additional suggestion like this. :-)

Poor choices of names can be a horror. My dad was XO of 32nd St Naval Station in San Diego. Occasionally there would be some kind of fatality on the base. Notifying the family is never a pleasant experience. Telling them the recently departed has been transported to the Goodbody Mortuary didn't improve the experience.
