The other message is that Obama is the one with the extended hand who is giving the Reps their day in court. And in the process, he gets to rebut every Rep speaker and then turn it over to a Dem to do likewise. The Dems have two-thirds of the time to make their case and to critique the Reps. It was a major mistake to get into this debate. There is no common ground on this bill.
Yeah, and that's the VERY FIRST THING they have to dispel when they get back from this vote. Let the American people know they think this entire bill is a piece of crap and they're NOT buying into it. Then say it a second time, and a third.
Spin THAT, media politburo!
The republicans have won every single disagreement with the one.
You must be watching a different show.
That's what Chris Wallace said on FNC. He said what the Dims are trying to achieve by that is to go on to use Reconciliation to ram through the bill and then say that the Republicans agreed with it. Looks to me like the Republicans are at least respectfully defending their opposition to the monstrosity.
I thought Reconciliation could be used only on existing law rather than on a bill that hasn't even passed.
