To: Lurking in Kansas

We already do shop and compare. Open the markets across state lines. Cut the stupid mandates that cause insurance to be expensive (like some states require detox provisions etc.) Allow companies to buy policies in a cafeteria plan rather than by government mandated coverage. We have no employees who will get pregnant (nor spouses- all older). We are required to buy pregancy coverage for employees. Why not allow it as a mix-match to meet each employers needs?

It’s not always the premium price. Ok...I would like the premiums lower too but you pay a price for that. You get a crappy policy and you end up fighting constantly with that insurance company.
