BREAKING: FBI Raids Toyota Suppliers

(WXYZ) - The FBI is confirming raids at the offices of three Michigan auto suppliers who do work for Toyota.

Search warrants were served Tuesday evening at Yazaki North America, DENSO International and Tokai Rika. Yazaki sells electronic components and DENSO makes accelerator pedals.

Denso has released the following statement about the situation "DENSO International America, Inc. (DIAM), U.S. subsidiary of DENSO Corporation, was inspected on February 23, 2010 by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Department of Justice in regard to U.S. antitrust laws. DIAM is cooperating with this investigation."

Really, because I have honestly thought it was democratic “love” that has helped inflate Toyota to begin with. You’ll find most of us “pro-America” car guys are very anti-Toyota and the favors that have allowed them to pull the wool over peoples eyes. That sounds like a democrat to me.

Eliminate the USA from its base in Japan.

Now that the Chinese deal for the Hummer has fallen through, it's possible the enabling legislation was not really sufficient to keep the company in money, and this successor organization is going to go bankrupt as well ~ probably in weeks.

Interesting analysis. I will be watching. One of my gnomes and I if have noted, and when they try to go public, you are buying a big chunk of VEBA liability no matter what they say. I have no doubt I won’t be here long. My contribution is a little thing called accountability and the truth. The truth is Toyota blew it. Blame Obama he IS a problem, but lets not forget were Toyota stands and their actions and responses today pretty well proved it.

The problem that's reported is stuck accelerator, not bad floor mat. However, the floor mat idea took currency and was evaluated.

The bad floor mat argument sounds so much like a car salesman's pitch it probably needed to be rejected out of hand.

Toyota's argument was that insufficient clearances had been made on the floor peddle itself so after a little wear and tear and dirt an incident was bound to happen.

The Democrats want to move on to the electronics since they figure it's pretty much what happens to their TV remotes after they eat a bowl of popcorn and drink some beer.
