we disagree on this then I think
you believe that Govt has no say, I think it does when that same Govt or courts gets and has got involved telling me that they have special hate laws, they have marriage, adoption , teaching in schools, getting jobs like affirmative action , serving in the military and as I served then I am totally opposed to that.
I am fighting fire with fire and if they had just kept their life private like they said they wanted then I would nto even be bothered about what they do. However I am now seeing as they are trying to force their sick lifestyle onto me .
I’m still young and have a few years left in me and I will fight them every day and get the word out as much as I can until they understand I want their life private and not in my face or my life.
This country was made string by the support of a string traditional family and I will protect that to my dying breath

No, I made a normative statement that the government should have no say because there is no basis to persecute or give benefits to homosexuals.

And it should not be doing any of those things. I am for getting government out of a lot of things it is already doing, much less support more government. Post #167 explains in two sentences exactly who the government should and should not benefit and why and who pays for it. And it makes no reference to religious, aethetic or subjective beliefs. That is why it is the most powerful argument. It just doesn't have the knee-jerk emotional appeal.
