Juan Williams has absolutely no faith in the 2012 Republican presidential field. He brought a healthy dose of fair and balanced to the FOX News Sunday Panel Plus online-exclusive segment yesterday, where he predicted to his bemused colleagues that, despite their high hopes, if they didnt find a respectable candidate soon, Barack Obama would win reelection in a landslide.
While the rest of the panel Bill Kristol and Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard, NPRs Mara Liasson, and host Chris Wallace shrugged it off with laughter, it was a pretty fearless point to make riding on the heels of one of the most successful CPACs in recent memory and in a year where dissatisfaction with the Democratic Party has fed a massive Tea Party resistance movement and launched Republican Scott Brown from Massachusetts into the Senate.
Williams seemed to have been pushed into making this argument not by the successes of Sarah Palin or propositions that Mitt Romney still has a viable shot at the presidency, but at Kristols suggestion that Texas governor Rick Perry, who has advocated for Texas secession in the not-so-distant past, could make a splash in the presidential pool. While Romney and Mike Huckabee have the traditional advantage of being runners-up from 2008, Kristol argued, Perrys decade in the governors seat would put him in a pretty strong position to run for President.

I only get ill when I see him and then change the channel.
I used to think so, too. However, I'm now convinced that every time Juan opens his mouth he digs his own grave and further discredits the lefty arguments he so loudly champions, especially when he talks too long or talks over the other panelists.
As long as Brit, Charles, Bill and the other grownups are there to issue terse and polite rebuttals, Juan will remain a far better argument for conservative points of view than his intends to be for his liberal defense of whatever crap Obama is selling.
I only wish I knew how to post that kid that pantomimes “That's racist!”
Maybe, just maybe, Juan wishes there was a GOP candidate to blow Obama out of the White House. Defending him is hard work and Juan is running out of excuses.
Remember how depressing it was for conservative pundits to support President Bush.
The leftist media really do miss W.
OBAMA IS A FRAUD!
Please lets not get hysterical. McCain has done enough apologies for one campaign
2012 Presidential Election....Pick one
Barack Obama
John McCain
Suicide
Now, hang on there.
Don’t forget that Juan Williams didn’t drink the kool-aid. go back and watch the old shows. Sure, he’s a lib, but he wasn’t crazy for Obama.
I think he’s calling things as he sees them in his circles. That’s why Fox has him on.
Eleanor Clift drank the original kool-aid back in 1978. She’s just delusional.
That is simply insane. Rasmussen shows Obama at only 22% strongly approve. Not exactly the stuff that landslides are made of.
After 4 years of looking at tyranny straight in the face, an empty beer can would be elected over -19bama.
Any smart candidate is lying VERY low right now.
“GOP” may not have anyone...but the CONSERVATIVES do!
I predict Perry & Palin will be the ticket.
How influential is Juan Williams’ “circle”?
Democrats will "Dodd" him!
After all the foolishness at CPAC, one can see why he came to that conclusion
The Conservative movement was not acknowledged in the least at CPAC. Missed opportunity, and the DEMS noticed big time. They feel good and conclude that a 3rd party is in the making.
You ought learn some tolerance. Think of that tower of intellectual power Brit Hume hosting that show. You have to wonder what he was thinking when Williams was flapping his gums, and yet, he kept his composure, smiled and took a rhetoric paddle to JW’s money maker.
Yeah, I cab’t imagine WHY they have him on the network - except for COLOR. Juan Williams has no brains. He’s your typical “token”.
WELL, BESIDES sARAH pALIN, THERE IS JOHN BOLTON, DICK CHENEY (TOO OLD ESTABLISHMENT?), HAVE CONSERVATIVES HAD ENOUGH YET TO APPRECIATE THE VERY CAPABLE DUNCAN L. HUNTER? NO MATTER. THE RNC WILL FUND WHO THEY WANT TO FUND, AND IT WON’T BE A CONSERVATIVE., I FEAR. SO PERHAPS OUR LEFT WINGER, WILLIAMS, IS RIGHT.
not if the economy stays bad
