the Fox Family Network That cracked me up. What is there about the Fox entertainment network that would make it a "Family network"? DOn't get me wrong, almost every TV show I watch is a Fox show, but they aren't like "family" shows.

“A prominent Tea Party leader from Texas (Dale Robertson)” I SMELL REAL BS HERE!
To: Kaslin
Even her political allies are starting to weigh in on the love vs. hate Palin campaign. A prominent Tea Party leader from Texas (Dale Robertson) is warning that the movement is becoming nothing more than a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Republican Party. He goes on to slam Sarah Palin as being a part of a growing insider's attack to the heart of the Tea Party. For a writer aat Townhall.cocm this guy is extremely ill informed.

See, the line is real, real funny because it is a person with Downs Syndrome who says “My mother is the former governor of Alaska” and Sarah Palin is the former governor of Alaska and — get this— in real life, she has a child with -you guessed it— Downs Syndrome!! Get it??? It’s so effin’ funny. Really.

Yep, and a touch of envy on the side...

The Bimbo-in-Chief raising cain over every little farting thing that offends her. No wonder she couldn’t stand the heat in Alaska.
She’ll probably hold Summits at the White House with Jay and Dave for making fun of her too much.

A woman who goes to war against the 19-year-old boy who knocked up her daughter and then posed for Playgirl is far more comprehensible to most Americans than deficit spending is. Indeed. I love Palin because she is real.

I don’t get the joke. Are they saying Palin had an affair with an accountant and gave birth to this down’s child? Was the child ridiculed in any way? Or was the joke about Palin resigning as AK gov and going after all the money she could get her hands on? It’s too obscure for me and if you have to explain the joke, it isn’t funny to start with. But I miss how this was ridiculing the kids.

A jest that delivers hurt to it’s intended victim is no jest at all.
That’s not the exact quote, and I don’t recall who uttered it, but it’s close enough for purposes of this discussion.
I don’t really know what the motivation of the Downs’ woman who spoke this line, but her ill attempts at defending it point to an upbringing I’d rather not be a part of.
But, hey, maybe that’s just me!
