Ron Paul was at the very bottom of a long list of names on the straw poll taken at the GOP Caucus I attended last Saturday. Out of around 300 people there Paul got only 2 votes. And this is King County WA, where Paul favored better than other areas of the country om 2008.

Palin was way out in front and the winner.

Someday Republican’s are going to have to identify one or two SERIOUS candidates who can pass the laugh test at the national level.

It is quite possible that Newt has put enough distance between his personal baggage and the 2012 elections to be that candidate.

The best part is the CPAC audience booed when Paul’s name was announced. Rough crowd.

This harkins back to 2008 when paulist got 50-60% in the polls the networks would have and wound up with 3% of the actual vote. Being fast on the dial does not generate any actual votes.

Instead of attacking the man and what they don't like about him, Conservatives and Republicans should focus on what it is about Ron Paul's politics and message that people are responding to.

Republicans lost their majority for a reason. If republicans are getting better pr lately, it's thanks to obama, Reid and Pelousy and not because of anything they have done.
