I wonder if Steele voted for Paul in the Straw Poll? Nah… couldn’t be, or could it?

Why is a 1940's dollar worth about 4 cents today? Every bit of that 96 missing cents is inflation, paid for by people who had no idea what was happening.
The Fed manufactures money out of thin air, with the blessing of our elected representatives.

They were so obnoxious at a Tea Party in my small town on May 9th, the ladies who organized it said never again. No more Tea Parties. They came from out of town, ragged on the GOP and tried to sell LP stuff. One was a zombie. Real impressive watching him lecture grandmothers on drug legalization and libertarianism

What have the Republicans in congress done for you lately? All I can think of is compromise to leftist ideas. It took the Russians to end the environmental movement, and not these pro environment Republicans like McCain, Newt and Mitt Romney.
The tea parties are people pissed off with the Republican party in congress, and some with the democrats. Primarily former Republicans.
They were bashed until elections happened. Now the Republicans are trying to take it over.
They organized them. Libertarians came into my town, as I mentioned, and trashed ours. There aren't enough Ron Paul people/Libertarians in the country to stage one decent Tea party much less the hundreds if not thousands which have been held.
59,934,814 people voted GOP in 2008.
That is over 100 times the number who voted Libertarian.
The only way a movement this large could happen is by Republicans doing it.
Look at the overwhelming support the military gets at the TPs. Looks at the strong position on national defense at the TPs. Those aren't Ron Paul supporters. Those aren't libertarians.
Nevertheless, I held my nose and voted for McLame in 2008, but I'm not a Republican. I know a lot of people in the same boat.
You can rest assure the Republicans had nothing to do with the tea parties. If they did, then the Republicans would not be worried about them.
The tea parties are conservatives, objective independents and objective democrats that are tired of seeing the Republican party cave to the democrats all the time.
Can you believe the Republican party had the audacity to ask me how I think they should vote on various issues? For instance, the questions were about the environment, and TAX issues. Unbelievable!
As the LP got just over half a million votes in 2008 and Ron Paul himself gets a fraction of the GOP vote, most of the military must be Ron Paul supporters then.

For some strange reason, Rue Paul always wins straw polls. The fix is in. His supporters are as crazy as he is.

If you knew anything about the history of the Fed, you’d know that the “progressives” loved the whole notion of the Federal Reserve and hated any tie of the dollar to hard currency - specifically because it thwarted their dreams of a European-model welfare state.
You make that assumption based on what?
The Fed is under the control of our elected reps. They can abolish it tomorrow. If the wealth has been destroyed, how is it that the standard of living increased since the Fed was created?
One of my favorite books, should be a must read for everyone.
By your “Al Gore” standard he also sounds like a young Clarence Thomas, George Bush, or Bill Bennett (Janis Joplin’s former boyfriend).
