Ryan Sorba, from the Young Americans for Freedom organizations California chapter, was booed off the stage tonight at CPAC, for deriding CPACs choice to have GOProud attend CPAC, even going so far as to say he condemns CPAC. Not the sort of thing one would say when invited to speak at the biggest gathering of Conservatives who look to CPAC for guidance and networking.

Good points.
If we want to lose elections, well keep acting like conservatives are only allowed to be conservative Christians. If we want to win, well take sexuality out of politics. LOL ... "If we want to win"?! Silly rabbit ... First of all, this isn't about WINNING ... it's about taking a moral stand. Winning will follow leading with conviction for what's RIGHT! Second of all, if it was SOLELY about winning ... It's called being a RINO ... and it too is deviant.

By the way, I am against having groups like GOProud at CPAC. I was astounded at the behavior of the audience. I think these events get hijacked, as someone mentioned in regard to McCain in 2008 and with Romney bots four years in a row.
Our victory over Germany was "short"?
I provided a quote from Reagan earlier which indicated he had no interest in “pro-gay-rights”. He wasn’t intolerant of gay people, he didn’t shun them, but he was pretty outspoken about his opposition to the gay lifestyle.
I agree with you absolutely. Having an entire group with an agenda which will be destructive to the family unit is not in the best interest of society-OR a conservative movement.
I have had the same journey. I once considered myself supportive of homosexuals, but no longer. My brother died of AIDS due to homosexuality, so I feel I have good enough “street cred” on this issue. For me it was really when “civil unions” just weren’t good enough. Fine, then have nothing.
As someone has mentioned, there was no agenda similar to the one today. If Reagan had known we would eventually have to deal with cries for gay adoption, gay marriage, gays openly in the military, acceptance of pedophilia, and the rest of the gay program for America, I think he would have regretted this position also.
How refreshingly politically incorrect.
>The exit line forms on the left.<
In-deed.
Well, it looks like I will have to find the quotes. I’m off to the bookstore tomorrow.
agreed
How do the super social-conservatives propose to win national elections with 20% of the vote?
As long as elections are about numbers and not logic, we are going to have to align with certain groups.
The cat with AIDS wants Repubs to lose elections; there is no other explanation.
FR has been rife with leftist trolls lately. Crawling out of the woodwork.
Getting rid of as much government as possible as fast possible has to be our number one objective. Everything else is a distraction.
The majority of Americans are NOT for the homosexual agenda.
So those who are saying the Republicans have to be for the homosexual agenda in order to win are senseless.
We would LOSE voters that way. Megatons of voters.
Even California defeated gay “marriage” at the ballot box and we are what? 2/3 democrats?
The result? The result you can see -- most of the people who graduated in the 60's, dropouts or half-baked intellectuals, are now occupying the positions of power in the government, civil service, business, mass media, and educational systems. You are stuck with them. You can't get rid of to them. They are contaminated. They are programmed to think and react to certain stimuli in a certain pattern [alluding to Pavlov]. You can not change their mind even if you expose them to authentic information. Even if you prove that white is white and black is black, you still can not change the basic perception and the logic of behavior. In other words [for] these people the process of demoralization is complete and irreversible.---KGB Defector Yuri Bezmenov, circa 1984
Can you quote it? I don’t have the book in my library!
I have nEVER heard of Reagan making pro-homosexuality remarks. And I was voting for him back in the day, listened to lots of his speeches, read his books, even read Nancy’s book.
Quote? Source?
>You can support Stalin to defeat Hitler, but the victory you win will be short.<
No, not over Germany, but over the manner of atrociousness that Hitler practiced, and the type of threat he presented to the West.
You advocate that Republicans welcome GOProud (a sexuality based political group), yet say we should take sexuality out of politics.
I do hope you can appreciate the irony of your own words.
