way way way back in the day of Bill Ayers coming to prominence via the Weather Underground, there were plenty of college kids who considered him to be an obvious government plant

And the typical college kid is very wise in the ways of the world indeed. Don't you realize that leftists CONCOCT stories like this when one of their own get busted for doing something so horrific as the Weather Underground did? They try to say, "he wasn't REALLY one of us". What else can they do at that point but lie and deny.

BTW, again: is Bill Ayers still just "pretending" to be a commie, even today?

From Investor's Business Daily (IBD), August 27, 2008:

"Ayers, now a tenured distinguished professor of education at UIC, works to educate teachers in socialist revolutionary ideology, urging that it be passed on to impressionable students.

One of Ayer's descriptions for a course called 'Improving Learning Environments' says prospective K-12 teachers need to 'be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and ... be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, teaching for social justice and liberation.'

The Annenberg papers are quite extensive — 132 boxes containing 947 file folders with 70 linear feet of material. They undoubtedly contain more surprises regarding Obama's relationship with Ayers, one of many relationships Obama has sought to hide.'..."

That is an incredibly weak rebuttal. I was going to CU Boulder in 1974-75 and there was a CIA recruiting office right there on campus. Somehow I don't think that would have been the ideal location to find world-wise people.
