Where does this fit in the great hierarchy of authenticity politics? Sarahcuda may be the most salt-of-the-earth pol on the American landscape but shes also an internationally famous celebrity and multimillionaire. Surely a blue-collar Joe whos been known to fix toilets outranks her. Does that mean shes now been formally excommunicated from the church of true conservatism as I suspected or did yesterdays NASCAR appearance imbue her with some sort of impregnable authenticity forcefield?
More importantly, does this mean Meggie Mac was right?
Wurzelbacher touched on several different points during his speech, and many of them were surprising. He said he doesnt support Sarah Palin anymore. Why? Because shes backing John McCains re-election effort. John McCain is no public servant, he told the room, calling the 2008 Republican nominee a career politician.

Your profile says 2008. And guess what? Even if you have been here since 1998, you're still a moron.
Of course not. Voting for RINOs is what got us Obama. Join me in taking a stand for conservatism.
“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.”
— John Quincy Adams —
Sarah is paying back McNuts and I think that’s it.
Yeah..Allahpundit has in it for Ann Coulter too. Does a photo of him exist? I suspect he fits the metrosexual profile of the men who bash these two women. Or its a religion thing. He picks on Christians who are comfortable in their faith and have no problem including it in their speeches. Might be both things with Allah.
Yep, I'm no big fan of John, and there is usually a price to pay for going with conscience over expediency.
Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost. John Quincy Adams
Exactly. Folks, it's crunch time. We have a golden opportunity to bring down one of the Alpha RINOs in the Senate herd and replace him with a solid conservative who WILL win in November (it's Arizona, people...)
We will do this with or without Sarah Palin.
If Sarah will not take a principled stand in this, then so much the worse for her, but we must stand on principle, not be swayed by personality and transient fame.
“When you have the choice of a RINO and a dem you pick the RINO and stop whining.”
At some point we have to tell the pubbies, NO MORE RINOs. And the only way we can make that stick is this:
Nominate one more RINO and we’ll help the demonrats cut your throats. When you’re dead, we’ll form a party that will actually oppose evil.
You miss the obvious reason, can you see the main story on every network news outlet... Palin won’t support McCain, followed by a 30 minute video of all the great things she said about him during the campaign...
Loyality is not only a good thing, in this case, it’s a must!
This is priceless, and I therefore regret not joining the 0.5 percent who in 2000 voted for Pat Buchanan.
So how does she stay out, after telling the whole world he should be president? Every cable new outlet would be running video of her praising McCain during the campaign and now, refusing to endorse him...
Loyality is a good thing, but it this case, it’s a must...
It’s the Rubber Room Crowd and it looks like admittance is free.
Allahpundit is a jerk.
Henry Cabot Lodge didn’t endorse Nixon for CA governor in 1962 or for president in 1968, did he?
Wurzelbacher also told the room to lay off the extreme personal attacks on President Obama. He said people who question whether Obama was born in the United States or compare him to Hitler belittle and set back the conservative movement. The birthers, the truthers if people are trying to bunch them [with tea partiers], that would kill us. That just pushes away Democrats and independents who might come out for our cause otherwise.
He said he actually likes Obama, in some ways. I think his ideology is un-American, but hes one of the more honest politicians. At least he told us what he wanted to do.
Is this our ‘hate Sarah’ thread today?
Joe the Plumber? Are you kidding me? I’d ask who you support then, Joe, but I don’t care.
I agree with Joe. There’s no excuse. America does not need McCain - Campaign Finance, Poor defense of borders, continual “crossing the aisles”, etc. He ticks me off. Palin should stay out of the way of a true conservative or she begins to look more like the establishment.
But he should at least give credit to McCain for giving him his 15 minutes of fame, which Joe is clearly having a very difficult time giving up.
What happens when the nightly news (you pick the anchor) asks Palin why she didn’t endorse McCain, then plays video of her telling the world what a great president he would be...
She has no choice, she backed him to be president...
Loyality is a good thing, but she has no choice now. Of course you’re probably a rino lover and would love to see her knocked out of the race so your boy Mitt or Huck would have a clear field.
Say, what?!
