The sad thing might be these retiring rats could be now willing to fall on swords with extremely UNPOPULAR votes.

Great point. Hopefully the GOP can hold the line in the Senate and let the Democrats shoot themselves in the circular firing squad.

Don’t rain on the parade. These schmucks would have voted with Obo regardless. Bayh knew he would lose and didn’t want the humiliation. He can always ride to the rescue during a more socialistic election year.

However, we now have 41 votes so as long as we can hold our RINOS (and Snowe and Collins are doing a good job so far) he can't hurt us as much.

Yeah. Good news is, they still won't have enough votes for a filibuster proof majority, thanks to Scott Brown.

That could be, but they will also be free to tell Obama, Reid and Pelosi, and all the far left pressure groups, to shove it.

From the Monty Python movie..."Jehovah Jehovah Jehovah, how much worse can it get?"

I left IN 20+ years ago but I still follow the politics a little...I was dismayed but not totally surprised when Bayh was elected.

We already counted guys like Bayh as a vote with Reid. There is nothing he can vote for that he would not already are be voting for.

That is what I’m worried about. With nothing to lose....let’s hope he values his reputation!

Now that they don’t care about being reelected, they may go way left.

In addition, it would have been easier to defeat an incumbent who voted for the Health monstrosity. Now there will be a new Dem candidate and some voters will feel it’s fine to vote for him since he didn’t vote for Obamacare.
