Open Magazine's "Hottest Hoax in the World" Cover Issue

The weekend before last, a magazine cover called it Fraud.  This could have been New Scientist, Scientific American, Discover, or any of the other popular science magazines, but it wasn’t.  They were all scooped by an Indian publication, Open Magazine, that had only been running for a year.

The climate change fraud that is now unraveling is unprecedented in its deceit, unmatched in scope—and for the liberal elite, akin to 9 on the Richter scale.  Never have so few fooled so many for so long, ever.

The entire world was being asked to change the way it lives on the basis of pure hyperbole. Propriety, probity and transparency were routinely sacrificed.

I agree.

We mustn’t get blind-sided with this. I personally won’t believe AGW is dead and buried until the evidence becomes completely irrefutable - like four years of record low worldwide temperatures.

But even then, after the smoke has finally cleared (along with the generous budgets), the radicals will simply move onto the next disaster. Before Global warming there was Global cooling, before that it was holes in the ozone layer, before that it was oil running out, before that it was overpopulation (soylent green etc)...and so on back to pre-history, when the sky was going to fall. I think I might run a sweep on what the next one is gonna be. I’m inclining to giant volcanoes myself, with asteroids hitting the earth as an each way bet...

This kind of rumor-mongering, for reasons of political and economic advantage rather than carefully thought through reason, does real harm. It is potentially very damaging to the reputation of science. The day will come when a real disaster will come along, and we will all go “sure, you’ve been saying things like THAT for decades. No way are we going to be fooled again” and do nothing.

Not to worry, we will be saved from Obummer's "green plan" by the total collapse of the global economic system.

And the NWO idea will not survive the resulting caos and cival war.
