The damage is done, and elections hinge on independents, who for the most part are apolitical and get their news from the mainstream news and late night comedy.

To 2 - I will explain why your post is flippant. If Cheney objected to females in ‘traditionally’ male occupations then how would you explain Mrs Cheney’s career choices? Dick Cheney didn’t exactly keep her barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen.
