Former Vice President Dick Cheney said he hasn't made up his mind who he will support in the 2012 presidential election. When asked if he thought Sarah Palin was qualified, he punted. ---
Is Sarah Palin qualified to be president? Former Vice President Dick Cheney answered that question with an artful dodge this morning when he appeared on ABC's This Week.(see video below) "I haven't made a decision yet on whom I'm going to support for president next time around," he said to host Jonathan Karl. "Whoever it is is going to have to prove themselves capable of being President of the United States."
"And those tests will come during the course of the campaigns obviously," he continued. "I think all of the prospective candidates out there have a lot of work to do if in fact they are going to persuade a majority of Americans that they are ready to take on the world's toughest job."
You didn't think you'd get a yes or no on that question, did you? Come on

Cheney endorsed RINO Kay Bailey Hutchison for governor of Texas for Pete’s sake!
If political psychopaths can block her ability to serve as governor of a small population state then she will have no ability to serve as President.
Most important here is not Cheney’s response, it’s the fact that these frightened bed wetters are asking the question.
That's not what Cheney said. He said he has not made up his mind this early about who he is going to back, but then every single candidate would have to prove themselves for 2012 (that includes Romney, Huckabee, Pawlenty and every potential 2012 candidate). He didn't single out Sarah Palin or anyone else.
“Resign or not, she has vastly more executive experience than 0bama and Biden combined when they run for the presidency in 2008.”
That’s like saying a five year old has vastly more time on this planet than a one month old. It’s true, but nothing to brag about.
You should. Cheney is a good man but he's a creature of the Gerald Ford/Bush Family branch of the GOP. His support of Kay Bailout Hutchison is another clue.
He's a Washingtonian, simple as that. Love his Western toughness, though.
And Palin supported McCain... Your point?
“Of course not. Shes a W O M A N:
Get a grip.
2. A basic education in world history and geography.
3. A basic business education.
Speaking in broad strokes, when right on the issues, is quite refreshing and will carry her far. However, she must SHOW, at some point, she has command of the facts and data to support her positions...or folks like me will not vote for her.
The education above could be obtained by reading 20 good books...twice.
lol
At least you’re not touchy. :>)
EXACTLY!! It’s amazing how the clueless pick up talking points w/no substance behind it. the media’s little puppets.
Leftist CSM stirring the pot as always! Cheney said NO SUCH THING, not being “sold on Sarah Palin”!
You know, you're right about that!!
Liz has defended her several times and also praised her.
FWIW, I was pleased with Cheney's answer, because I thought the question was inappropriate at this time.
Well, I don’t know. I might be in the market for a good bridge. Please send pictures.
Same here. If she has not resigned then I would have been very serious in supporting her but her resignation just did it for me. The silly excuses on why she resigned make things much worse politically for her. Her supporters, fans, and in some cases her cult of personality worshipers do not realize this yet, they will be crushed by reality when time will come in the early 2012 primaries that if she runs.
Good Observation.
It was.
And I watched the entre interview.
Granted he was a dead end for us but I have to ask, Were you glad he was there in 2001 post 9/11? I was.
I read between the lines and that is what I took. Cheney was asked about Palin, not Romney, so although his answer applied to all, he was asked about her. I wouldn’t expect him to answer in the affirmative for anyone now, even if he was sold on them.
