Former Vice President Dick Cheney said he hasn't made up his mind who he will support in the 2012 presidential election. When asked if he thought Sarah Palin was qualified, he punted. ---
Is Sarah Palin qualified to be president? Former Vice President Dick Cheney answered that question with an artful dodge this morning when he appeared on ABC's This Week.(see video below) "I haven't made a decision yet on whom I'm going to support for president next time around," he said to host Jonathan Karl. "Whoever it is is going to have to prove themselves capable of being President of the United States."
"And those tests will come during the course of the campaigns obviously," he continued. "I think all of the prospective candidates out there have a lot of work to do if in fact they are going to persuade a majority of Americans that they are ready to take on the world's toughest job."
You didn't think you'd get a yes or no on that question, did you? Come on

Excuse me, MrOffense - show me where I said I was offended.
You seem the type to find offense when there isn’t any. How liberal of you.
The way the word "anointed" was used was hyperbole.
“I think if SP is going to run, she should come out with a major foreign policy speech.”
Ya, but she might have to use both hands.
For example, there’s no ethics reform laws on the federal level that Palin has had anything to do with, so political criminals wouldn’t be able to use them to apply Alinsky’s tactics in an effort to attack Palin and subvert the will of the people.
“She is still polling at the head or close to the top in every polling for the GOP primary for 2012.”
Maybe, but when they include 5 names 11% is “the top”.
Ooops, 21%.
“They gave 0bama the biggest victory margin in the presidential elections since Reagan..”
Another lie. Bush I’s victory margin was larger than Obama’s.
Sorry. I couldn’t care less who Cheney supports. Don’t look now but he has just come out for gays in the military. That is not a conservative position, as far as I can tell.

Undertaking a social experiment like that in the middle of two wars because “society has moved on” is the height of irresponsibility, especially for someone who is a former Secretary of Defense and former Vice President. May I suggest a little humility on this score, that perhaps he should defer to actual veterans who have served in a barracks environment and not come out for such a change while two wars are going on, two wars that were not finished on his watch.
“If Cheney were to come out against her, I would completely discount his opinion.”
So even if his reasoning was sound, you would reject it completely because to you it is heresy?
“So even if his reasoning was sound”
It would not be sound, if he opposed her, any more than his reasoning to support open gays in the military is sound. This man has no corner on common sense. This latest decision is a real overreach and ought to cause conservatives to step back and re-appraise him.
That would still be better than using TWO teleprompter to address 6th grade children like the current president did.
Yes, so is yours, I think.
WOW! So you’re a poll watcher - do you use both hands to check the wind?
See post #19, where I said unless he could offer a new idea that hadnt been put out there yet.
Earlier you said “Why would she expose herself to ridicule, and lose a great deal of the people who like her?”
I think maybe she doesn’t go around trying to do things so people will like her (very rare in politicians but very much needed).
And if you realize her support for McCain was not based on support for his policy, you’ll understand that she hasn’t sacrificed her own policies. In other words, her supporting McCain has no effect on anything.
