Former Vice President Dick Cheney said he hasn't made up his mind who he will support in the 2012 presidential election. When asked if he thought Sarah Palin was qualified, he punted. ---
Is Sarah Palin qualified to be president? Former Vice President Dick Cheney answered that question with an artful dodge this morning when he appeared on ABC's This Week.(see video below) "I haven't made a decision yet on whom I'm going to support for president next time around," he said to host Jonathan Karl. "Whoever it is is going to have to prove themselves capable of being President of the United States."
"And those tests will come during the course of the campaigns obviously," he continued. "I think all of the prospective candidates out there have a lot of work to do if in fact they are going to persuade a majority of Americans that they are ready to take on the world's toughest job."
You didn't think you'd get a yes or no on that question, did you? Come on

McCain nailed his own coffin shut when he rushed back to DC to campaign FOR the bailouts. Had he been a CONSERVATIVE leader and fought against them, he would have set himself apart from Bush AND Obama and he and Sarah would’ve won the day.
I disagree. I support J.D. Hayworth regardless of Palin’s position. Conservatives are an independent lot and don’t need to be told who to support.
I voted the McCain/Palin ticket because I vote. The way things shake out lets me make my mind up every cycle. Senator McCain has ideals that differ from me and Hayworth is more in-line to my life. I didn’t have that option in 2008.
Maybe we should make a list of those 20 books, and assign her a tutor. She could turn in a log of how many pages she reads per day.
Then we could have her take a multiple choice exam, as well as short answer and essay-type.
Thank you...I am glad you said that. Because everytime I say I support DeMint, the palanites scream that Jim supported Myth Romney. So I hope we are on level playing field... Okay?
Politically, maybe. No disrespect to GWB, but I'm of the opinion that he was a better President because he had Cheney at his side. While I could vote for Sarah, it's a shame we don't have Rick Santorum and George Allen out there to compete. I haven't a clue who will emerge the next couple years, but I suspect the change the nation will be looking, not hoping, for will be from the economic right. Perhaps defense as well, in some ways I hope it's not an issue, but it will be. Social issues, hopefully that will be part of the package.
If the Tea Party pulls it off in 2010 and conservatives are swept into office pushing out the libs AND RINOs then it’ll be all aboard the Tea Party train for 2012. And if Sarah Palin is still the Tea Party favorite at departure time, then it will be hello Mrs. President in January 2013!
Right. And if Palin (or anyone else) has the opportunity to ‘prove it’ during the campaign, almost by definition that means she doesn’t have some sort of deficiency of resume that would preclude her showing herself up to the job.

would you care to name "others"?
Accumulating points is not always concomitant with fulfilling duty to the people. In this case the two were mutually exclusive—her resignation was the only way she could uphold her obligations.
Think of the personal power she gave up. This is not often discussed, though it speaks volumes about her character.
I would say this level of character makes her more qualified than we can imagine.
Seriously, how many people even know what a Marxist is? And would they have stayed awake for the explanation? ;-)
And don’t get me wrong, McCain ran a campaign that was a sucking vortex of suckiness, but I still think the voters got whipped up into an Obama frenzy by our friends in the media and were going to avoid the “R” at any cost. JMHO.
I eagerly look forward to the day that a genuine small-government pro-private enterprise candidate gets back in the saddle. There are a few possibilities for the role right now, but there may be a surprise out there yet. I’m taking a wait and see before I decide to officially throw support behind anyone.
Well of course, You vote according to your own understanding. Nobody else’s. If your name is correct, you already know your just as wise as anyone else out here.
Rodney Dangerfield; “it’s a dog eat dog world and i’m wearing milkbone underwear!”
I’ve lost count...
Do we have enough of these Scary-Smart, Smokin’-Hot Repub-Babes to make a calendar yet? And where can I get it? Trading Cards?
We know someone by their words and by their actions. Politicians are notorious for saying one thing and doing another. Look a Washington, D.C. It is full of people who are worthless because their words to get elected are very different than what they said they would do once elected. I will not vote for people who support people like McCain. Sarah lost my vote when I found out that she was helping McLame keep his seat and by definition keeping a conservative out of that seat. This will not stand for me. I will not vote for her. I love her book yet her actions, are saying something much LOUDER.
Well, a conservative leader would have ‘splained it in plain old American English that everyone would understand in a NY minute. It’s kinda like communism. And it’s un-American.
Exactly. They attack her with ad hominems and strawman arguments.
I’m not “sold”, either.
Sarah Palin has great - some might argue unlimited, but I’ll stick with great - potential.
She has 3 years to achieve that potential.
We shall most certainly see.
Halleluja! The Savior is come!
Worship much?
LOL.
Well, I think we do.
Start a list! I can name three for ya.
Sarha Palin, Michelle Bachmann and Marsha Blackburn.
