Did any of you even bother to watch the video? He wasn’t attacking the troops he was attacking the way the troops are treated. I’m not a fan of this guy but taking one statement out of context and making an issue of it is a DU trick, or something you read about on Media Matters. At least try and be better than them.
I knew that! But he is full of shit, because it is obviously the LEFT that hates our military. They only pretend to have compassion for them so we'd bring them home and concede victory to our enemies.
I agree. I saw the video and he did have a couple of valid points. Can anyone argue that the US doesn’t pay those in the military crap considering they put their lives on the line everyday? Can anyone argue that the mantra that this country loves the troops is a farce when you consider that returning vets are often treated like crap and charged out of their own pockets for injuries suffered in the line of duty?
I am no Bill Maher fan (I think that he is a totally disgusting person) but he is more right than wrong here when it comes to the way this nation supports its troops and how it amounts to little more than lip service.
