There is less chemicals in the snow than there is in the dirt or harbor. These people are nothing more than cultists.
I was camping w/some of them and I threw my plastic bag in the fire and they went crazy over destroying the earth. Never mind that we were burning a chord of wood, that plastic bag was pollution. Pure cult behavior.

One grocery store where I shop will not use plastic bags. Another one will not use paper bags. I just smile at both checkouts.
