Forget red and blue color America white. There was snow on the ground in 49 states Friday. Hawaii was the holdout.
It was the United States of Snow, thanks to an unusual combination of weather patterns that dusted the U.S., including the skyscrapers of Dallas, the peach trees of Atlanta and the Florida Panhandle, where hurricanes are more common than snowflakes.
More than two-thirds of the nation's land mass had snow on the ground when the day dawned yesterday, and then it snowed ever so slightly in Florida to make it 49 states out of 50.

I’m surprised there isn’t snow on the Big Island, but I think this is a little early in the season. But then isn’t there a heat wave down in South America? Maybe it’s unseasonably hot down there, and unseasonably cold up here, and Hawaii gets the benefit of both extremes and it cancels out.

I still think there may be some snow up on Mauna Kea, the webcams don’t show anything but they generally have some on the peak 365.

Where’s Al Gore?
Has he commented about this unusually severe winter?
What about global warming?
A few years ago, there was an unusually warm winter, which the MSM trumped as evidence of global warming. So why isn’t an unusually severe winter evidence of global cooling?

The Dem’s now need to enact some sort of stimulus bill to allow Hawaii to buy all the snow it needs for the poor and disadvantaged children in the state ... how many of them have not been able to play and understand the implications of having to trudge to school and WalMart through snow ... /sarc

I was just chalking it up to reporters ignorant of Hawaii, however, I’ve been looking through the webcams and don’t see any on the peaks so they may be right.

More than 75% of Georgia was snow covered last night, likely a first. Global warming aint what it cracked up to be!

AP still made not that this had NOTHING to do with global warming, as they said, weather is not climate.

There was snow on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa last November when the weather was wetter. El Niño is causing drought conditions on the Big Island now so it's high and dry at the summits to the delight of the astromers.
It'll change by March. I've seen snow up there as late as May.
