I scanned the article and liked what I read. Timely, given some discussions on other threads and might be useful for conservatives during arguments debates with libtards and instructive for people like chrissy matthews

This is a matter of rights, our Constitutional and natural rights as Americans and American States!
The United States Federal Government has NO right to force We the People or that of our States, to proscribe to any particular health-care policy under any penalty law!

Its not in our Constitution: http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/constitution.html

We can’t back down on here, Not on this matter! We must defend liberty! We must assert and try defend our Constitutional Rights as Americans and American States, even if that means if necessary(thou very much doubt it is) die trying. *Angry American*

Congress Simply has NO RIGHT to strip us of this essential liberty to choose for ourselves!

Our would be masters will go as far as we allow them to go. Anger? Yes; it's time -- past time.

"“Susan Lynn is yearning for times gone by,” Turner said. “Maybe we could put the poor people back to sharecropping and slavery and let the people up at the big house have all the nice things. We’ve already had that fight about states’ rights.”"

"Lynn responded to Turner’s comment by saying:
“I can’t even imagine that’s a serious comment.”

We've got to come up with better responses to the predictable smears by 'progressives'.

Here's one idea: "Another liberal is losing the argument, so they shout 'racism'. That doesn't work any more. Get an argument."

or "Smearing people with 'racism', the first refuge of the liberal losing the argument. Pathetic."

These smears are predictable and conservatives need to be prepared to respond immediately. Don't be surprised.

"In 1850, Congress compromised in order to hold the Union together against the divisive issue of slavery. Since the preservation of the Union (Northern control of the South’s economy), rather than the abolition of slavery was foremost in the minds of influential Republican bankers, manufacturers and heads of corporations, this compromise made perfect sense."

The Republican Party did not exist in 1850.

In large part the reason for this post. Of course without their echo chamber in a complicit MSM, their arguments/message wouldn't make it across the street. Thankfully the MSM propagandists are circling the drain.

INCOMING! Rotten cotton boll, 12 O'clock, high. ;-)

Resolved, that the principle and construction contended for by the party which now rules in the councils of the nation, that the general government is the exclusive judge of the extent of the powers delegated to it, stop nothing short of despotism, since the discretion of those who administer the government, and not the Constitution, would be the measure of their powers; that the several states which formed that instrument, being sovereign and independent, have the unquestionable right to judge of its infractions; and that a positive defiance of those sovereignties, of all unauthorized acts done or attempted to be done under color of that instrument, is the rightful remedy.”

Fancy Nancy woould be wise to notice, take to heart, and heed the above, when asked about consittutional grounds for Obamacare.

Technically, I think you're right. Who might their predecessor party have been? A little history would be helpful but I suppose if anyone's interested they can dig it out themselves...

Absolutely vital information needed to protect the 10th Amendment.

Also, I would invoke the the Fugitivei Slave Act in opposition to abortion by the States and in laws currently being imposed or about to be imposed on health care workers w/r/t abortion.
