Sorry to be a wet blanket, but someone has to do it.

The “Miss Me Yet?” billboard (inspired by Jonathan Maney’s t-shirts) is cute. But let’s not get carried away with nostalgia.

President Bush put America on the proper war footing after 9/11 and deserves much credit for doing so, but he also:

1) joined with open-borders progressives McCain and Kennedy to try to force shamnesty down our throats;

2) massively expanded the federal role in education;

3) championed the Medicare prescription drug entitlement using phony math;

4) kowtowed to the jihadi-enabling Saudis;

5) stocked DHS with incompetents and cronies;

6) pushed Hillarycare for housing;

7) enabled turncoat Arlen Specter;

8. nominated crony Harriet Myers to the Supreme Court;

9) pre-socialized the economy for Obama by embracing TARP, the auto bailouts, the AIG bailout, and in his own words:

“I’ve abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system.” – George W. Bush

No, I don’t miss having a corporate socialist Republican in the White House any more than I like having a corporate socialist Democrat in the White House now.

I have asked some of these folks how they think that hate is a conservative attribute, but they never ever answer the question.

I've lived my whole life as a conservative, and I've never seen anyone I respected as a conservative who was filled with hatred.

And when you compound that with the fact that the man they hate is good and decent and honorable, it makes their emotional animus even less "conservative."

That's why the DU trolls blend in so well with them. There's not a whole lot of difference between them.

I've noticed in some of her TV interviews lately that she felt a need to attack President Bush, even if it wasn't on the subject.

I just wonder why she can't aim that anger at the Marxists in DC. The misplaced anger is puzzling.

See if she doesn't go out of her way to bash Bush.

It seems almost like an obsession. Everyone other than the Dems have moved on, but she's right with them, blaming him for everything that's wrong in the world.

As I said upthread, it seems as though she's angry that the American people are really beginning to miss President Bush, and she wants to do her best to put him down.

Kind of sad, because she's got great potential..........when she goes after the BAD guys.
