Like a pig farm.If you are keeping score, you can scratch off one more keyboard.

Can you imagine being the guy who has to get in that crane way up there? All the time knowing the building could crumble at any time.

There must be something seriously wrong with the building to close it indefinitely to the public. I wonder what they are hiding? Did they buy cheap steel from China and its now cracking or contaminated dry wall?
How much does it cost to go on the Observation Deck?
Visitors to the tower pay US $100 (UK £64) to visit the viewing deck or, if they pay in advance, about US $30.

An old Arab went riding by one hot and windy day,
He looked upon the tower that was so far away,
Then all at once a mighty herd of red eyed camels he saw,
Runnin like the mighty wind and up a sandy draw.
Ul-ul-lay, ul-ul-law,
Ghost tower in the sky...

FIRETRAPBet you can get quite a fire going in a half-mile vertical stovepipe.

Perhaps if they renamed it the Sauron Regency and attempted to persuade LOTR fans to come for a visit?

That sounds like a towering inferno waiting to happen.I’m glad I’ll never step in the building.

It is such a gaudy sign of opulence that if an airport were in range, a rag tag band of martyr- -or nuts, may be tempted to make it their launching pad to the land of 72 virgins....
Well, one can dream....
Not like those fanatics have anything against killing their own just to prove a point..

It this what happened? I did not read the story. Reminds me of the Towering Inferno where the son-in-law (Richard Chamberlin - g*y) of the building owner (Wm Holden) used cheap wiring.

Look at that thing. I mean it is incredible how high it is. It is like 4 times taller than a 60 story skyscraper. It is already a financial disaster but can you imagine all the bad sh*t in that thing?
The wiring is probably terrible. The AC is they do not work will raost the people. The elevators are probably death traps. Toliets and plumbing ??? And how on earth do you fix it?

I can’t help thinking about just how heavy duty the cleanout ells at the bottom of those sewer lines from the top floors need to be.
Doubt I could order one from my friendly local Ace Hardware.

I guess they see no point in sinking their money into reflating bubble when they can still make decent money from oil.
