February 07, 2010 Palin 'Would Be Willing' to Take On Obama in 2012

By Judson Berger - FOXNews.com Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she "would be willing" to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race. Sarah Palin has President Obama in her sights, telling FoxNews.com she "would be willing" to challenge him in the 2012 presidential race.

The former Alaska governor, in an interview Saturday on the sidelines of the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, said President Obama's "lack of experience" has held him back his first year in office and that she would put her credentials up against his any day.

"I would be willing to if I believe that it's right for the country," Palin said when asked if she would run for president in 2012. She qualified the statement, adding that she sees "many" other potential candidates who are "in as strong or stronger position than I am to take on the White House and if they're in a better position than I in three years, I'll support them."

But the former GOP vice presidential nominee told "Fox News Sunday": "I won't close the door that perhaps could be open for me in the future."

She delivered the keynote address Saturday at the tea party convention, using it to hammer Obama as soft on terrorism. When convention organizer Judson Phillips mentioned the idea of "President Palin" in a question-and-answer session afterward, audience members leapt to their feet and burst into a chant of "Run, Sarah, Run."

Hey Reagan Man, We may not agree on how Republicans or tea partiers ought to deal with pro-choice, small government and strong defense Republican candidates in blue states—but we sure agree on Palin. Go, Sarah!

Are you perhaps too young to remember how Reagan was ‘Quayled’?

“Palin ‘Would Be Willing’ to Take On Obama in 2012”

Wonderful news. I hope that she runs, wins the nomination and then does NOT pick a John McCain clone to be VP.

“If Palin is the best the stupid party can come up with they will lose.”

They could do much, much worse.

>Not only has his lack of experience held him back, HE DOESN’t LEARN so it’s unlikely he’ll improve.<

It is not that he doesn’t learn, he can’t accept that his socialist teachings all his life are failing in such an epic way. So he just digs us deeper into our collective graves.

I almost wish Sarah hadn’t made this statement though, they will start attacking her now, They fear her more than any other person in the world. She is everything that they are not.

We will need to start a “Truth for Sarah” campaign and make it widespread so that we can squash the lies they will start about her before they take root now.

I am behind her

How about since the rock group “Heart” will not allow Sarah to use their song when she takes the stage to accept the nomination, the whole crowd breaks out singing it acapella?

Maybe it’s better to set them off now and let them use up all their ammo long before the election. By the time the election rolls around they will have nothing left. Not that they have anything but nonsense anyway.

I believe she means exactly what she says: That if she believes she is the best candidate at that time she will not walk away from the challenge. If she believes someone else meets her criteria and is in a strong position she will wholeheartedly support that person.

To her, it’s not about “HER”, It’s about the U.S.A. So many people don’t get that, even though she constantly makes it clear to anyone who listens.

Our Lady of Wasilla can count on 40% to start, which puts her way, way ahead of any RINOs. But she is going to have a tough time getting to 51.

Let's be more specific.

Sarah will need to get 51% in states like NC, Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Florida, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nevada and she will need to do it against Barak Obama(lol).

“Reagan won, and held, his Democrats because in important ways he was one of them. That’s where he came from, he loved them, and they knew it.”

The polls all showed Reagan horribly unpopular with Democrats and Independents before his election as President, just as some of them show Palin to be so now. Reagan was a populist, a conservative constitutionalist who distrusted Government as is Palin. Indeed she is the first viable Constitutional, limited government conservative since the Gipper.

I don’t believe the polls, but even if I did, the opinions about Palin are not set in stone any more than they were about Reagan. When people saw him on the same stage as Carter, they saw his inherent decency and connected with him and from that time on, he was headed for a resounding victory. Palin has the same sincerity and guts that the Gipper had. You seriously think that Palin is not headed for pretty much exactly the same endgame against the stiff elitist in the White House, who has been promoted and pushed by the MSM, the same MSM that has been relentlessly attacking Palin. You really think the the Independents who are so angry at having been snookered by the MSM into voting for Obama are going to pay attention to the MSM once more and NOT vote for Palin? I think the chances of that happening are next to none.

Also, the intensity and affection of her supporters is not driving any of independents away. Many of the tea partiers ARE independents who long ago became disenchanted with the Bushified big-government GOP. Those independents are conservatives, not moderates, as the MSM wants you to believe. And they are the Palin iteration of the old Reagan Democrats”

Too young to remember how Reagan was ‘Quayled’? Maybe. I served in Reagan’s Army, the one the Commies actually feared, but I don’t know much about history. I can remember when that fat, drunken ladykiller, Kennedy, may he continue to slow-roast in Hell, twisted Bork’s words & for the first(?) time, turned judicial confirmation into a political campaign, but I can’t remember anything like the Palin mistreatment for Reagan.

Nor can I remember Reagan resigning from the California governor’s office halfway thru his first term.
