So tell me. How did a city in such distress assemble such a high caliber team? Where did the money come from?

You would think NO would have higher priority’s than assembling a football team.

The NFL is a close cousin to socialism in their business structure. With a few exceptions, the NFL shares all their revenue, particularly their tv money which is the big gorilla of their revenue stream. The Saints weren’t terribly hurt by Katrina in the financial sense. As long as the league keeps raking in the bucks, even teams with poor attendence can win.
