no, fire was confined to my apartment

a candle that I blew out and left the room ignited again, started a fire

declared an accident, no insurance, lost 50% of my stuff, almost all my electronics, 30% of my clothes

got tons of DVD’s from History Channel, lost ALL my Marine DVD’s...sigh...that hurt almost as much as ralizing I almost burned down the home of 75 people...

That must have been awful. Our daughter left a candle burning in her room in a wooden candleholder. When the wax got to the wood and started it on fire she smelled it and put it out but something like that can happen so easily.

I’m glad you and the others in the building were kept safe. I’m sorry for the stuff you lost. I think the memories on DVD or photos would be the hardest material thing to lose.

Is your mom over her pneumonia? I thought I remembered you talking about that.

Maybe it’s the instability of the times, but it seems like I’m expecting less and less all the time and more and more thankful for what I’ve still got but could easily lose.
