No, Boehner is absolutely right. Why, our party platform in Texas is very “Tea Partyish”, it’s just that our Rs in Texas simply don’t realize that their professed beliefs and their actions need to be consistent. The same thing is true at the national level.

John, get back to us when you and the slack jawed, mouth-breathing R’s in DC learn to connect their alleged beliefs and their actions. ;-)

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

You Win the Cookie!

Exactly right these guys are politicians. Their actions more often than not will not reflect their beliefs.

They make deals and spend money that is what they go to Congress to do.

Politics is the art of compromise. Unfortunately the longer they are in Washington the easier compromise becomes and the farther away from their ideals they move.

What I would prefer in stead of term limits that so many want is that Congress be in session only three to six months out of the year and that Congress be required to return to their districts the remainder of the year.

In addition the make up of the House of Representatives should return to the original Constitutional representation of one Representative to one for every thirty thousand. (Article 1 Section 2)

If government was administered in this way congress people would remain in touch with their constituency and they would not produce as much legislation.
