We wouldn’t dare let the little darlings learn anything about the Constitution. Might have an uprising or something later on down the line.

A lot of the ideas the Left wants to destroy were at the forefront at the Founding - a government of limited powers, God-given rights inhering in ordinary people, the right to have firearms for defense, the legitimacy of overthrowing an oppressive and intrusive government, and so forth.
Also, the focus on “the environment” is meant to supply a religion for the masses. The secular progressive elite have come to the conclusion that the proletarian masses are ineradicably superstitious, and the “earth-worship” message is one that they believe they can control for their own political purposes.

Sounds odd but — it is time to close the public schools.
No doubt teaching about polar bears and global warming has more upside for Liberals than George Washington or our Constitution.
The object, of course, is to produce a society of moronic drones with no civic knowledge or virtue who are completely malleable and controllable by their Liberal masters. They are succeeding.
My experience with government-owned children is that their grasp of anything that happened before Last Thursday is so feeble that it is impossible to make clear to them when Jesus Christ was on earth. They never heard of the Roman Empire. They don’t know where it was or when it was. They have no notion of what civilization was like in any given century since then. They simply have no idea where they fit in in any meaningful timeline.

THEY ARE NOT GOING TO TEACH THEM ABOUT OUR REVOLUTIONARY WAR, DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE AND CONSTITUTION, OR THE CIVIL WAR. This is a deliberate effort to create ignorant dummies who know nothing about their liberty and why they have it. But they are going to each them about the robber barons. The people of North Carolina should be screaming bloody murder. The “educators” who thought this up and are planning it ought to be looking for another job.

I tutor in an afterschool program that is being heavily funded by the feds for intervention in math for k-5 kids. We were specifically told not to spend time on basic facts. We are encouraged to use “rich” problems like....If I am building a neighborhood of homes and can use the numbers 3, 5, and 6 for the addresses, how many homes can I build? It is so sad to see these kids being pushed to do fractions and higher level algebra everyday when they are counting on their fingers for every addition and subtraction step and don’t know the basic steps of a multiple digit multiplication and division problems.
If the education system were on our way, we’d teach U.S. history from the colonial era onward.
