Any large sports gathering, any joint gathering of congress, democrat fund raisers, democrat conventions, large union gatherings, etc.

Sure, lots, starting next weekend:
Super bowl (100k people)
Daytona 500 (I think next weekend or the following) (100K)
Indy 500 (100K people)
NASCAR routinely puts 100K people in seats on a weekend.
Baseball (any team cept the cubs)

They may not hit any big, well-known events.

Whatever means they employ, they can only kill and maim so many. If they don’t have the ability to kill more than 50, then that’s all the victims they need. They don’t need 50,000.

Besides, big events have more security, more cops nearby who would jump in, interupt them and spoil their plans.

Smaller events and gatherings, that are ‘big enough’ are the risk factor. They are the soft targets, from the local elementary school to the food court at the mall.
