I am supporting Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, should he decide to run in 2012.

Yes, I love Sarah Palin, but, IMO, she is putting herself into the “unelectable realm” by associating with John McCain and Rand Paul.

John McCain-—many hate him already and Sarah’s support among the base is collapsing due to her endorsing him. Furthermore, his unwavering position on illegal immigration and support for amnesty makes anyone endorsing him look foolish.

Rand Paul-—where do I begin? An opportunist who is running on the heels of his father. His foreign policy stance is completely out-of-touch with American ideals. Furthermore, Ron Paul is perceived by many Americans as just “plain crazy” and anyone associating with him or he son will suffer, reputation-wise.

If Sarah Palin endorses Charlie Crist in the Florida primary, her already-injured image among many conservatives will be shattered forever. She may gain some redemption by endorsing Rubio (like she should!). Or, if she stays out of it, because McCain likes Crist, that will make her look even worse.

I hate to say such bad things about Sarah, because I’ve been one of her strongest supporters, but I just don’t think she is the one who will be our nominee. She’s even acting like she doesn’t even want to be President and she’s entitled to her wishes.

Anyway, the reason I am supporting Governor Pawlenty is because he is a conservative Republican who managed to get elected (and re-elected) governor in a deep blue state like Minnesota.

As governor, he has managed to balance the budget every year without raising taxes. His health care plan is amazing, as it promotes efficiency and quality over regulation (people save money on insurance by using good quality health care facilities).

He opposes RomneyCare and has even come out against it, by saying (on Greta):

“I think if you would let the states experiment and take a lead on this, we could do something with this.

We know what he (Obama) is proposing has essentially been tried in one state. And as it relates to slowing down cost it hasn’t worked.

It’s the most expensive health care in the country and its rapidly accelerating. To hold this model out as the solution for the whole country, it’s not going to work Greta. And he’s selling this, I think as a bill of goods.”

I also like the 3 things he is proposing for getting fiscal responsibility in the government:

1. Get The Federal Government To Pass A Constitutional Balanced Budget Amendment
2. Give the President Line-Item Veto Authority
3. Take the unused TARP and bailout money and put it towards debt reduction

Governor Pawlenty is also pro-life and pro-2nd Amendment. He has the ability to win in blue states.

He doesn’t carry the baggage that Sarah Palin does and the liberals won’t be able to assault him with the “quitter” argument (though I don’t believe Sarah is a quitter!), as he will have finished 2 terms as governor.

Please don’t accuse me of being a RINO or anything; these are just my observations and thoughts on this.

Jeb Bush is the most intellectual and most qualified. I like Sarah, but I don’t think she can win. I would like her to run as VP and get four years experience. I like Newt Gingrich. He’s a brilliant strategist. He needs to be in there somewhere too.

Is there not a website out there somewhere for you and people like you to post and comment on news articles?

Are you implying that John McCain is not the staunchest, most amazingly Conservative politician out there? He TAUGHT Ronald Reagan what it was to govern. Barry Goldwater, rest his (relatively liberal) soul, WISHES he had ONE TENTH the Conservative credentials as John McCain.

Plus, McCain is a PROVEN WINNER. Oh sure, he fumbled once for the Presidency, but THIS TIME HE WILL MAKE IT!

McCain / Leiberman 2012!!!!
