Breaking...

Brown said he had a very big tent.
You and I both have the same position on abortion, he continued. Roe v. Wade is the law of the land.
Scott Brown voting for RomneyCare, which included a $50 copay for abortions, is common knowledge.
That’s not true. Brown stated in his press conference that he wants to work with Dems and the GOP to reform healthcare.
RomneyCare isn’t too far from what ObamaCare would be on a national level. Brown’s main sticking point seems to be forcing MA taxpayers to be taxed for national health care on top of their state taxes going to RomneyCare.
Why else is everyone so excited on his win? The only reason at this point is his VOTE of "NO" ON OBAMACARE.
If he wants ANY traction after he votes NO, he'll vote everytime the antithesis of TeddyBoy Kennedy.
umm...... isn’t this the day that Iran’s president promised some kind of decisive blow against the west or something to that effect???
Do the dems know something about Feb 11 we dont?
Since you’re discussing recently elected MA Senator “Major Coat Tails” Scott Brown, I thought you would get a kick out of this Pelosi quote from last April:
Thursday, April 16, 2009
Nancy Pelosi “It’s not really a grassroots movement.”
Check out what Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi had to say about the tea party movement that swept the nation yesterday.
“What they want is a continuation of the failed economic policies of President George Bush which got us in the situation we are in now. What we want is a new direction. This [tea party] initiative is funded by the high end we call call it astroturf, its not really a grassroots movement. Its astroturf by some of the wealthiest people in America to keep the focus on tax cuts for the rich instead of for the great middle class.”

Voting for Coakley would have saved how many babies?
Wee helped our fellow Americans in MA reach the right decision, in part through our campaign contributions.
Nevertheless, the people of MA elected him and they expect him to represent their interests. Most likely that will entail fiscal conservatism and some social liberalism. I don’t believe he will act too far outside the conservative platform on the important fiscal issues. If he does, he’s done for. Yes, he was elected mainly by Independents, but he was elected as a pub for fiscal purposes and he will caucus with the pubs. Give him a chance. He hasn’t even been seated and you people are already tearing him down.
He could use the support starting now. Remember, he only has two years to prove himself before he has to stand for re-election. So far he’s shown himself to be a pretty shrewd cookie, but because it’s MA, he will numero uno in the rat crosshairs come 2012.
Give him a chance. Stifle yourselves for the time being.
Which means Pelosi and Reid plan on having Obamacare rammed through via reconciliation by the 10th, at the latest....
There is NO TELLING WHAT he voted for that passed that we don’t know about and the media has not reported!
Wouldn’t even surprise me if we find out AFTER the next election that, oh, by the way, Obamacare passed.
Is Kirk even LEGALLY able to be voting? (as if Mass obeys the constitution on ANYTHING)
The last I read was that he would not be seated until March!
Wasn’t the election on the 19th?
If you count only 15 business days, then he should be seated on the 9th, not the 11th.
If you count the weekend days, then he should be seated on the 4th.
If those “EFFING A HOLES” pass healthcare without seating him, I hope we see a serious uprising in this country!
Is Kirk even legally supposed to still be voting in the senate? How in the H3LL is this happeneing and WHERE is the outrage?!!!
“I’ve read ALL along that Brown has committed to voting “NO”, unconditionally.”
Yes- to an Obamacare/Hillarycare system. He likes the MA system because it’s supposed to be “free market”, isn’t supposed to raise taxes, and so forth. He said all along that we need a national health care system, just not one designed by “progressives”.
I fully expect he’ll push a Romneycare-like package. Will the progressives go along?
Screw it then, lets just seat Martha Coakley!
government doesn’t abort, people abort. those are the minds you have to change.
There is NO TELLING WHAT he voted for that passed that we dont know about and the media has not reported!
If you are interested here is the list of the 17 votes that have occurred in the Senate since Jan. 20, 2010. You can see the details of each vote including how each senator voted.
http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/vote_menu_111_2.htm
If Martha Coakley had won the election, she’d have been seated the next day.
Brown is FAR better then Kennedy or Croakly.
He is now the Jr. Senator from Mass, that is all.
We needed his win to stop Obama care and give us a 41st vote to keep up the filibuster.
His win was one of the greatest victories in GOP history, and the conservatives are allowing the MSM to taint the victory.
They are the ones who are going to be groaning on Feb.11th and they know it.
But they want to steal our joy with saying 'this is not a GOP victory' and 'he isn't really conservative'
Well, he is as conservative as you are going to get from Mass.
Just think how miserable we would all feel and how ecstatic the Left would be had he lost.
Then it will really fall apart.
Points well taken! Thanks and I hope you’re right as well!
Think about it: The Kennedys held “that seat” longer than many communist dictators held power in their respective countries.
