Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the nation will deliver a harsh blow to the "global arrogance" on this year's anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
"The Islamic Revolution opened a window to liberty for the human race, which was trapped in the dead ends of materialism," Ahmadinejad said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday.
"If the Islamic Revolution had not occurred, liberalism and Marxism would have crushed all human dignity in their power-seeking and money-grubbing claws. Nothing would have remained of human and spiritual principles," he added.
Ahmadinejad said that in the three decades of its history, the Islamic Revolution had inspired some great developments in the world.
The Iranian president made the remarks as the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution approaches.
Iranians are expected to pour into the streets on February 11 to celebrate the occasion in public rallies across the country, as they have done annually over the past three decades.
“Stay safe, my friend. And the same to all of you who read this.” And likewise.
Super Bowl bump.

America Expediting Deployment of Missile Defense System Against Iran

Post 430, thanks for the great info.<<<
You are welcome.
Off topic, I saved the books for later, did read the first one.
Thanks for sharing them.
Now it’s being alleged that on February 11th, that Iran will announce that it has a nuke.
I have no doubt that they have a nuke, several by now, some via Pakistan and N. Korea.
At least 5 years ago, Dr. Bill Wattenberg explained that the latest news release on whatever they were doing, meant that in 5 months they could make a bomb.
“They should never have been allowed to get this far!!!”
Dr. Bill does know of what he speaks, for he is a nuclear weapons designer.
HERE is where the “punch” which will “stun” the military of the West was first discussed, back in January - a very very very long thread.
There’s a biography of Roald Dahl out there that is very good as well that shows how constantly Churchill and Roosevelt were in communication.
Roosevelt ensured that British spies could set up and operate in the US in order to ensure we’d be actively involved in WWII. Made all the difference. It was a Canadian that masterminded the entire thing.
Jennifer Conant is the author. Quick, fascinating read.
BTW, yes Dahl wrote James and the Giant Peach, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He, Noel Coward, and others were also British spies in WWII.
Strait of Hormuz
Gen. Hossein Salami, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps air force, told the Fars News Agency that his forces could interrupt the flow of oil through the Gulf.
“Iran can affect the flow of half of the world energy as soon as it wishes,” he told the agency.
“The Iranians know our vulnerability in the Gulf is oil,” says Robert Baer, a retired veteran of the CIA. “That’s our Achilles’ heel, and that’s what they will hit in the event of a conflict.”
We need to compile a comprehensive list of the names of every single member of the House and Senate who have blocked attempts to make the U.S. independent of the middle east by resuming drilling and developing sources already identified as well as new sources. The first two Senate names on this list should be the two fools from California, Feinstein and Boxer.
Would it be impossible to consider Russia walking into Iran through Azerbaijan and occupying it after a massive strike?
That gives the Russians a bunch more oil, ‘stabilizes’ the situation, and possibly ‘removes’ the threat (at least temporarily) of further strikes on Israel, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia from Iran (Persia, a age old enemy of the Arabs).
Just a thought, and not a very well informed one.
I’d like to think that God would not let Israel perish.
I cannot find anything in my comment that says, or even suggests, that the Iranian threat is to Israel.
Phhhft!!! Snow drunk...sorry. Wrong person, wrong thread...heck wrong forum...
I should go shovel some more snow now.
This 630++ comments messagethread began on January 31st when Ahmadinejad made the first Iranian pronouncement about Feb.11th
We all have a bad day now and then. No sweat.
