Scott Brown Doesnt Rule Out 2012 Presidential Bid

. . . which will be about twice as long as ObaMao for a guy with far more real life qualifications.
My idea of a "nice guy" is someone who believes in the sanctity of life -- not someone who thinks that it's OK to kill your children in the womb. What's "nice" about that?
Don’t kid yourself the MSM is making analogies and comparisons. In this country and indeed in most countries ethnicity is always a factor.
HAAA! Good one!
In the meantime, RvW IS the law of the land. All I'm saying is that Brown may very well surprise you, now that the election is over. The tone of the country has changed dramatically, the pols will see that they must change as well. Anyone who changes their view on abortion is acceptable to me. That is what the goal is; changing minds and hearts. Unlike some people, I hold no grudge against a politician who changes their view on this, the worst of all terrorism.
If he runs, I’ll vote against him.
Hehe, can’t believe how thick some of our own can be.
All the media attention he’s gotten has gone to his head. Mr. Brown needs to shut up for awhile, learn the legislative ropes, and huddle frequently with DiMint, Coburn, and Inhofe.
What does it matter if Scott Brown is elected. He isn’t going to tell his Supreme Court nominee to uphold or repeal Roe v. Wade. That is up to the the Justice when he serves on the court.
Reagan Bush and Bush II were all pro=life and it had no effect on the Supreme Court regarding Roe v. Wade. What are they waiting for anyway? They have 5 votes on the court right now.
Proving once again, that some do not read past the headline and Breitbart’s was terribly misleading, which surprised me. I had TIVO’d the abc program so I knew what was said and then looked for the transcript to post here.
Right. At one time so was slavery.
>>>>>Anyone who changes their view on abortion is acceptable to me.
I take that as a yes vote for Romney. ;^)
>>>>>That is what the goal is; changing minds and hearts.
Seeing people come to their senses is always great. But I seriously doubt Brown is going to surprise anyone. At this point such a shift would be seen for what it really is. Another case of political epiphany making Brown even more a Romney clone then he already is. Or perhaps a cynical political decision that shows a man totally lacking in character and integrity.
Yep. That proverbial “box of rocks” is looking smarter all the time by comparison.
Unfortunately, Roe vs. Wade IS the law of the land and I seriously doubt any president will ever get that overturned. Whether we like it or not, abortion is legal. That doesn’t mean we have to condone it. He says he is against federal funding for it, and that makes him ok in my book.
Some on here are so naive regarding politics. We need a candidate who can beat zero. Remember, we have a system of checks and balances. Or, used to, I should say.
Scott is very strong on national defense, illegal amnesty, spending, etc. So, some on here would rather put up a one-issue candidate and have 4 more years of mmmmmm Obama.
In today’s society, JFK would be considered a Republican. Gone is the DEMRAT party of the 60’s. No, I’m not in favor of a RINO, but, I don’t think Scott is 100% RINO.
A president has to be president of everyone, not just a few select people. However, it seems that zero didn’t get that message.
Let’s see how he pans out in the Senate. Right now, I think he could give zero a run for the office. And, if people voted for o because he was charming, and good looking,(barf) he pales in comparison to Scott.
“Youve got to be kidding. This place is bash obama central.”
It’s also bash Palin, McCain, Romney, Hayworth, Huckabee, and any other republican candidate for that matter.
If I were to ask, “name me one republican candidate, or potential candidate, that is a “true” conservative in every sense of the word”, someone would name one only to have others post reasons why that person isn’t perfect. Then the war starts all over again.
“Proving once again, that some do not read past the headline and Breitbarts was terribly misleading, which surprised me. I had TIVOd the abc program so I knew what was said and then looked for the transcript to post here.”
Indeed. Reading a headline and then posting critiques on the subject matter is like reading the title of a book and having the gall to think you could write a book review about it; and then doing it.
It matters a lot. One of the goals of FRee Republic is to work at getting pro-life conservatives elected. Not liberal abortion proponents. If you disagree with that, I think you might be on the wrong forum.
As of today, there are only four justices who would vote to overturn Roe. Kennedy went from pro-life to pro-abort years ago. Reagan gave us Scalia, Bush41 gave us Thomas and Bush43 gave us Roberts and Alito.
I’m convinced that two of them knew precisely what Brown said yet were determined to impune the reputation of a 30 year reservist.
Sad!
