The Dominican Republic east end of the island has done much better than Haiti. I’d say let the west end of the island go to the Dominicans and let them decide how many stay and how many relocate back to Africa.Having read a couple books on the history of Haiti, ceding control over to Dominican Republic would be a very bad idea. Different people, cultures and ancestries. Dominicans are predominantly of African ancestry, albeit with more white blood swimming amongst their dominant black DNA. You are correct that the cultural differences, and history of friction with, and occupation by, the Haitians.
