Didn’t the Roman Senate have a horse as a member once?

Well, we have at least part of the horse in the Senate right now.

Incatatus is the horse you're thinking of. Caligula's favorite racing horse. He once quipped that the current consul was so useless, he might as well appoint Incatatus. After he died, his detractors probably exaggerated the story to make him look mad.

It's kind of like what I always say about Harry Reid and the piece of dog crap on the bottom of my shoe.

So, anyway, if you're thinking that Obama couldn't be the dumbest human being to ever hold high office because Caligula was even worse, then you're probably wrong.

Your point is well taken, a half ass at least

I thought that Caligula has appointed his horse to the senate but after further review, I think he actually appointed his horse as a counsel to the emperor or sumthin’ .. but if the horseshoe fits.. ;-)
