TALLAHASSEE, Fla. Former Florida legislator Marco Rubio has closed the gap in the race for the state's Republican U.S. Senate nomination and is in a virtual dead heat with Gov. Charlie Crist, according to a poll released Tuesday.
Rubio, a lawyer who served as Speaker of the House, was once considered a long shot against Crist, who has widespread name recognition and a significant fundraising lead. But with Florida's primary seven months away, Rubio was favored by 47 percent compared with 44 percent who preferred Crist statistically a tie in the Quinnipiac University poll that has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8

I used to work with farmworkers, and I can state this for a fact: low-skilled workers' wages plunge every time a new wave of immigrants comes in: I'm talking about farmwork, day labor, dishwasher, unskilled contruction, motel housekeeper and the like. US-born low-skill workers get pushed down by immigrants; older immigrants get pushed down by newer (and younger) immigrants. The injustice to the poor is severe.

Sorry, I can not jump on this bandwagon until he answers some questions about legislation he sponsored and fortunately failed to pass giving illegals free medical and education. AND until he is vetted by ICAUCUS- since he said he did but did not. Why is he lying? Does that not concern you? Do you want another Martinez? Will we never learn?

I am very interested in, and grateful for, your information. I can jump off of this bandwagon if necessary. Links, please?
