TALLAHASSEE, Fla. Former Florida legislator Marco Rubio has closed the gap in the race for the state's Republican U.S. Senate nomination and is in a virtual dead heat with Gov. Charlie Crist, according to a poll released Tuesday.
Rubio, a lawyer who served as Speaker of the House, was once considered a long shot against Crist, who has widespread name recognition and a significant fundraising lead. But with Florida's primary seven months away, Rubio was favored by 47 percent compared with 44 percent who preferred Crist statistically a tie in the Quinnipiac University poll that has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.8

Does a football game which ends with a score of 47-44 get counted as a tie?
“Poll: GOP primary for US Senate seat in Fla. a tie (Rubio 47%, Crist 44%)”
Rubio and Hayworth are a damned site better than Crist and McCain!
No. But there is no such thing as margin of error in football.
And it's Rubio leading by 10 points in 3..2..1..
That man looks like a President of the United States.
I hope this poll is correct, but I have NO confidence in the voters of FL.
If the margin or error is 3% then its a tie across a 6% range.

More to come, Lord willing.
3 points difference is a tie?
You should have heard him at the Tea Party in Inverness 2 weeks ago he will certainly get my vote cant wait till election time.
Thanks to Crist - we got stuck with McCain. The FL primary put Juan ove rthe top. Mitt might have been the nominee if Crist stayed out of it. Mitt would have been better than McCain.
Crsit should go listen to his Judy Garland records on his tanning bed.
Not quite. The "confidence level," which is rarely disclosed with the poll results, is as important, if not more important, that the margin of error. For example, if the confidence level is 95% and there is a 3% margin or error, then there is a 95% chance that the polled results are within 3% of the actual results, and a 5% chance that the polled results are greater than 3% (plus or minus) of the actual results.
I tried to donate but the donate button was broken at the link.
Dirty tricks from Crist?
I will try again and again until I donate! Anyone have a valid alternate link?

The first $100,000 will be for expenses, but don't worry, the rest will be well spent.
Let it be - every RINO needs to be poached.
Marco Rubio-U.S. Senate
Edward Lynch-FL District 19 ["BOOM, taste my nightstick", Wexler]
Robert Lowry-FL District 20 [Your retirement condo awaits, Wasserman-Schultz]
and Col. Allen West.
This needs to get more attention. Marco Rubio was on Mark Levin radio show, He is great.
That’s my kind of tie. Go for a forward pass, Rubio!
