Consider the pre-election giveaway to the labor unions. Negotiators agreed to exempt union contracts until 2018 from the tax on so-called Cadillac health-insurance plans. That backroom bargain not only outraged the voters, it also violated the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution, requiring the federal government to extend equal protection of the laws to all U.S. persons. Of course, not all voters understood the constitutional nuances, but they sensed that something was very wrong; and they reacted.
I have been disturbed by the socialists for years, ever since I learned many members of Congress 'openly' joined the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America). Several years ago, the names were published on the DSA site. (since removed of course) Please post any info you have, many of you have been on this issue for many years, & if we can store it all on one thread, we have our FreeRepublic Warehouse on the enemies of the state. How DO we combat this, when it's coming at us from every angle? When the people have been asleep for decades. Please post anything you have found or accumulated. Also choose a dictator these people follow, of particular interest, those in D.C. who have been quoted with their adulation of one.

Health Care Reform: The Dog That Was Not Allowed To Bark (Rationing and Enforcement Boards)
from article:
Last week, Congressman Thad McCotter introduced a Bill HR 4500, The Freedom From Rationed Health Care Act, that invalidates a little known, hidden part of the Stimulus Bill. That hidden part of The Stimulus Bill created the rationing and enforcement boards.
..In my discussion with Judge Napolitano on the Glenn Beck Show, I hammered on the facts that
(1) the Rationing and Enforcement Boards were already created and passed into law through the Stimulus Bill
(2) the President had already appointed the members, funding them to the tune of $20.6 BILLION. When I pointed out that these boards were charged with directing healthcare at the time and place of care, Judge Napolitano expressed outrage at the prospect of these government entities insinuating themselves into the previously private and confidential doctor/patient relationship. The biggest outrage is the fact that no one seems to know that THIS IS ALREADY LAW!
These rationing boards threaten your privacy, your control, your health, your treatment possibilities, and your future.
We need to back Bill HR 4500, makes the stimulus health bill null and void

THE PROGRESSIVE PROMISE: FAIRNESS FOR ALL
by the Congressional Progressive Caucus of the United States Congress
The Congressional Progressive Caucus offers the Progressive Promise for all. We believe in government of the people, by the people, and for the people. Our fairness plan is rooted in our core principles. It also embodies national priorities that are consistent with the values, needs, and hopes of all our people, not just the powerful and the privileged. We pledge our unwavering commitment to these legislative priorities and we will not rest until they become law.
1. Fighting for Economic Justice and Security in the U.S. and Global Economies
» To uphold the right to universal access to affordable, high quality healthcare for all.
» To preserve guaranteed Social Security benefits for all Americans, protect private pensions, and require corporate accountability.
» To invest in America and create new jobs in the U.S. by building more affordable housing, re-building Americas schools and physical infrastructure, cleaning up our environment, and improving homeland security.
» To export more American products and not more American jobs and demand fair trade.
» To reaffirm freedom of association and enforce the right to organize.
» To ensure working families can live above the poverty line and with dignity by raising and indexing the minimum wage.
2. Protecting and Preserving Civil Rights and Civil Liberties
» To sunset expiring provisions of the Patriot Act and bring remaining provisions into line with the U. S. Constitution.
» To protect the personal privacy of all Americans from unbridled police powers and unchecked government intrusion.
» To extend the Voting Rights Act and reform our electoral processes.
» To fight corporate consolidation of the media and ensure opportunity for all voices to be heard.
» To ensure enforcement of all legal rights in the workplace.
» To eliminate all forms of discrimination based upon color, race, religion, gender, creed, disability, or sexual orientation.
3. Promoting Global Peace and Security
» To honor and help our overburdened international public servants both military and civilian.
» To bring U. S. troops home from Iraq as soon as possible.
» To re-build U.S. alliances around the world, restore international respect for American power and influence, and reaffirm our nations constructive engagement in the United Nations and other multilateral organizations.
» To enhance international cooperation to reduce the threats posed by nuclear proliferation and weapons of mass destruction.
» To increase efforts to combat hunger and the scourge of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and other infectious diseases.
» To encourage debt relief for poor countries and support efforts to reach the UNs Millennium Goals for Developing Countries.
Oddly enough, all evidence of this promise has been scrubbed from the CPCs official government website.
If you pay attention to number 1 on the list, it reeks of socialism/Marxism/communism. Marx wrote:
“In a higher phase of communist society, after the enslaving subordination of the individual to the division of labour, and therewith also the antithesis between mental and physical labour, have vanished; after labour has become not only a means of life but life’s prime want; after the productive forces have also increased with the all-round development of the individual, and all the springs of the co-operative wealth flow more abundantly - only then can the narrow horizon of bourgeois right be crossed in its entirety and society inscribe upon its banners: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs!”
Marx also encouraged class warfare, ie. class hatred is good, collaboration is bad. Same thing today’s Democrats are doing. John Edwards’ two societies, Obama saying he’s going to return wealth to it’s rightful owners.
For the life of me, I don’t understand why Obama’s approval ratings aren’t below 10%. If he’s not a Marxist, I don’t know what is. If the majority of the Democrat Party isn’t Marxist, I don’t know what is.
Sure does, Tricare for Life is our secondary health ins. And even with both of us on Medicare/Tricare and SS along with his Navy retirement we have to live simply...paid a $373 electric bill today. Prices were UP at Krogers and the Commissary. Gas had dropped a couple of pennies and I had spent enough at Krogers this month to get the 10 cent discount.
Bet he knows who Ellie Light is. Might even be Ellie Light (though I'm still leaning towards Ellyn Ruddick-Sunstein).
TY GB08 for this invaluable list!
Good to see you, been a long time bert!
Conyers was also on the original DSA list, as were most of the Black Caucus
Do we have hope of recovery Kitty after how they have decimated us?
Yes we do.
Do me a favor? See what dirt you can dig up on these “Progressive” SOCIALISTS, in relation to them being part of the DSA. I’ve not been able to see what happened to the deleted info over ten years ago
Went through you post. Obama has the Audacity to act offended when called a Socialist! Then goes on with his attacks on tea-baggers and trucks. What a moron!
I shall do what I can. I hope I don’t come back empty handed. Tomorrow from 4-11 or so I will be on it. I’ve got an hour or so now. Wish me luck!

I have confidence in your skills, good luck!
Thanks, Piper. This is great work.
This is HOW we do it
Congressional Progressive Caucus formed in 1991 past members that also belong to DSA:
Ron Dellums (D-CA)
Major Owens (D-NY)
Danny Davis (D-IL) Current Rep. of IL 7th district
David Dinkins former NY Mayor
http://www.dsausa.org/dl/sum2k/01.html
That link right up there I think describes fully the DSA and progressive caucus.
Here’s a snip from link:
“DSA recognizes that some insurgent politicians representing labor, environmentalists, gays and lesbians, and communities of color may choose to run under Democratic auspices, as in the 1988 Jesse Jackson campaign, or operate as Democrats like Senator Paul Wellstone, and the 59 Democratic members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, one-half of whom are Black and Latino and all of whom possess strong labor backing and operative social democratic politics.”
