In fact, our side "generally agreed" before the election that not only was he the most liberal politician we'd ever run across, he was likely a dyed-in-the-wool Marxist.

Nails it. Thankfully the ‘Tea Party’ isn’t over; it’s energized and growing fast. It has been a refresher in the foundation of the Constitutional Republic (something government schools have ignored), and has helped to bring people out and willing to speak their minds.
