When J.D. spoke of Islamic Fascists beheading our soldiers (in context with a remark about the Geneva Convention rules) that sold me. I’m behind you J.D. Enough of the mealy-mouth ENABLER! Some $$ coming your way sir!

GOP Sen. John McCain is positioning himself to be one of President Barack Obamas strongest supporters, effectively giving Democrats the votes they need to override any GOP attempt to block the new administrations legislative agenda.
Obama heaped warm praise on his GOP rival during a dinner held in McCains honor the day before the inauguration, calling him a hero.
Insiders duly noted McCain was granted a prime spot on the dais at the inauguration, sandwiched in a seat between White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
The day after the inauguration, Obama and McCain spoke again at the National Prayer breakfast.
It was all part of Obamas ongoing charm offensive to woo those on the other side of the aisle. The effort was apparently well received by the maverick senator from Arizona, who throughout his career has shown a proclivity for teaming up with Democrats on legislation.[snip]

McCain, just being Mccain, throwing out liberal lines to catch the unsuspecting. Here he promises to push the failed Kyoto treaty.

I am committed as President to pursue the efforts to reduce greenhouse gasses immediately. That includes joining Kyoto as long as we have India and China involved. It would not be fair to the planet to say the two largest growing economies who are greenhouse gas emitters are not part of it. Second of all there is a political reality and the American people would not support our engagement, joining in Kyoto without India and China.
