You can get a single page version of each topic without having to fill in your personal details by either clicking on the link that says the form does not work for you or changing js=true to js=false in the URL. e.g.: http://my.barackobama.com/page/speakout/ClimateChange?js=false&zip=12345 gives you a single page version.

EXCELLENT, Jim Wayne!
You can get a single page version of each topic without having to fill in your personal details by either clicking on the link that says the form does not work for you or changing js=true to js=false in the URL. e.g.:
http://my.barackobama.com/page/speakout/ClimateChange?js=false&zip=12345
gives you a single page version.
Now, to get ALL the "talking points" for each topic -- which will be listed in the bottom right corner...
...we just need to switch out that ONE PIECE (i.e., ClimateChange) of the url...
...WITHOUT having to enter all of your personal information.

It works as follows:

http://my.barackobama.com/page/speakout/ClimateChange?js=false&zip=12345
...switching, for example, from ClimateChange to bushindenial becomes:
http://my.barackobama.com/page/speakout/bushindenial?js=false&zip=12345
And, you can find the RIGHT TEXT (i.e., ClimateChange, bushindenial) to switch out for each topic here:
site-specific Google search for site:my.barackobama.com/page/speakout

Un-FREAKING-believable!

Why can’t OUR side ever be THIS pro-active? Oh, that’s right. We’re busy PULLING the wagon, while these deadbeats RIDING in the wagon have all day to ‘compose’ letters to the editors. Grrrrrrrr!

  • Talking Points
  • Writing Tips

  • No nation will be able to meet the challenges of growing the economy and creating jobs in the 21st century without a serious investment in green technology.
  • For too long, the world—including the United States—has been slow to respond to or even recognize the magnitude of the climate change threat.
  • But this is a new day. In the last eight months, the United States has done more to promote clean energy and reduce carbon pollution than at any other time in our history. The Obama Administration has made the largest-ever investment in renewable energy and invested billions to reduce energy waste. The Administration is also proposing, for the first time in history, a new national standard that will increase fuel economy and reduce greenhouse gas pollution for all new cars and trucks.
  • Most importantly, the House of Representatives passed an energy and climate bill in June. This legislation – the American Clean Energy and Security Act – would finally make clean energy the profitable kind of energy for American businesses and dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

• Be concise. Most newspapers ask for Letters to the Editor to be less than 300 words.

• Write from the heart. The most powerful letters will tell your personal story about why the topic of your letter is so important to you.
