THANK YOU GLENN BECK: It’s Time To De-Glamorize Totalitarian Leftist Murderers Like Che
David Horowitz's NewsRealblog ^ | Matthew Vadum

Posted on 01/23/2010 10:42:45 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

Too many Americans admire leftist totalitarian mass murderers and too many Americans don’t know about the horrors these merciless killers have inflicted on humanity, Glenn Beck argued in his TV documentary aired today, “The Revolutionary Holocaust.”

This tolerance of brutal leftist monsters allows today’s progressives, whose ideas have the same intellectual pedigree as communism and fascism, to get away with murder, so to speak. In other words, this permissive environment allows left-wingers to openly flaunt their admiration of brutal mass murderers such as Che Guevara and Mao Zedong without getting called on it. This failure to challenge these ugly misanthropic ideas in a sense confers a degree of respectability on leftism in general.

Beck summed up the thrust of the film while previewing it yesterday:

Progressives knew a hundred years ago you can’t win a battle against our Founding Fathers. Progressives had to change the course of history by changing history itself. If you can convince people that killers are cool and get them to wear a tee shirt you’ll win their hearts and minds. People in this country have done more than buy a cool tee shirt. Many Americans have drunk the Kool Aid.

He added, “The dirty little secret that communists, Marxists, and progressives don’t want you to know is their system has never ever worked. And not only has it never worked, it has led to some of the most horrifying outcomes in history.”

Assisted by intellectuals like Jonah Goldberg, author of Liberal Fascism, Beck argued that the leftist impulse gave rise both to Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin who were, in essence, flip sides of the same coin: “The Nazis versus the Communists was akin to Coca Cola versus Pepsi.”

One of the best documentaries on communists and the radical lefties I have ever seen on TV. No one else on TV comes close to Glenn Beck when it comes to exposing how really evil the left is.
An excellent program. He should be getting awards for excellence in journalism for this. *** Pigs flying***

It was great. The first bit about Stalin/Hitler was pretty much taken right from “The Soviet Story”.

I hope this is the beginning of a series for he has only scratched the surface.

There a number of questions that arise while comparing the modern generation with those brought to light. For example:

Have we ever had a US president as anti-business as this one? Are his constant attacks on capitalism similar to those of Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Che - all headline anti capitalists?

Yes-it was very good.

And who knew Shaw was such a freak job?

It was so upsetting and sad to see it all, but oh sooo necessary.
I thought it was also good that he showed some of the celeb du jours wearing the cool Che stuff.

I wonder if Johnny Depp would wear a pendant of Manson or Dahmer instead of Che around his neck?
Or maybe a Warhol T-shirt of John Wayne Gacy to wear dwon the runway?

Perhaps the most disturbing fact today is that many on the Left not only know what Mao and Che really did, they support it and would happily participate in an American “Cultural Revolution”.

Oh, no, no, no. You can't trust Glenn, he's too much of a...

loose cannon
drunk - junkie
koolaid drinker
george soros lackie
self promoter
mormon
democrat plant
bill oreilly wannabe
libertarian (as if that's a bad thing)

Or any of the other myriad asinine things some (R) bootlickers accuse him of being because he doesn't genuflect at the altar of absolute (R) loyalty.

All stupidity aside, last night was a powerful repudiation of all things leftist and should be required viewing for anyone who lives in the United States or wishes to be our allies.

Excellent work Mr. Beck and thank you for being on OUR side.

I saved this on Tivo but have not been able to watch it yet due to small children in the house. I applaud Beck for showing the truth and illustrating the lies of academia.

Gorge Bernard Shaw was every bit as crazy as Hitler was, if not even worse. Of course he continues to be lionized by the left wing”elites” and liberal arts professors in our universities. You gotta wonder why we send our kids to these universities just so they can be indoctrinated by these left wing loons, at great cost to us.
