You need to chill out. My party (Republican) has a big tent, it needs it.

I'm glad you added that parenthetical "Republican."

Was it hard for you?

It hasn’t escaped anyone’s attention that SP did not have a part in the VA, NJ and MA wins, but tried hard and failed for Hoffman in NY-23.

Do a little homework.

Sarah said she'd campaign for commonsense conservatives of whichever party.

Sarah is strongly pro-life; but Brown in MA is not.

How about the GOP candidates in VA and NJ? How conservative were they? Not "relatively conservative, for an Easterner" but *conservative* ?

Second point. Hoffman was swimming upstream against the GOP; he had "name players" like Gingrich endorsing Scuzzy. As well as the GOP running anti-Hoffman ads.

Scuzzy herself withdrew at the last minute (after a lot of absentee ballots had been cast and the votes couldn't be switched to Hoffman), and then endorsed Scuzzy.

All that, and Hoffman lost by 3,000-some votes. (Easily in the range of typical Dem chicanery and voter fraud, eh).

So where's your "kiss-of-death" akin to a Democrat in Massachusettes losing TED KENNEDY's (oops, "the peoples' ") seat while the election centered on Ted's signature issue?

Nice try, though.

Born and raised, E. Phoenix.

You want my address, and SSN?

How about yours?

My office gets a few visits a year by congress critters, more by the state guys..

I’m voting for McCain, get it? JD is not my bag, never liked the guy, not much upstairs in him.

Now where did you see me post about amnesty, cap and trade, ANWR, Gitmo or limiting public speech? Seriously, you need to chill out.

“I don’t consider her the highest profiled standard bearer for conservatism.”

Who is?

“Tea Party members...are the ones I want recognized as the “face” of the conservative movement.”

Me too, but they’re not - and they’re not going to be. Movements may have many members and supporters but they coalesce around leaders. She’s currently the de facto leader of the conservative movement, and her support does nothing to help Juan (thank God) and it makes many people question her priorities and/or judgment.

I know and I answered it. Obviously, you don't understand the nuances of the issue and how language is used to disguise or fool people on a pro-amnesty position. McCain and Obama are against amnesty and for secure borders.

I can tell you that the immigration community is up in arms and shocked by Palin's endorsement of the Amnesty King. Palin has made a huge mistake. And she has yet to come clean on amnesty, i.e., change her position as stated in the Univision interview. The Humphrey and Larson interviews fail to answer the question as to how she proposes to deal with the 12 to 20 million illegals in this country. She was quite specific in the Univision interview, i.e., give them amnesty.

Words have meanings. The Democrats and the mainstream media have hijacked the language surrounding the immigration issue to the point that we had Michael Chertoff, the Secretary of Homeland Security and our nation’s top immigration official at the time, testifying before Congress using the term “undocumented workers” to describe illegal aliens.

John McCain and Barack Obama studiously avoided the term “amnesty” to describe their comprehensive immigration reform plans and despite the evidence, baldly declared that it was not an amnesty. Instead, they used such euphemisms as “getting to the back of the line,” “an earned path to citizenship,” and “coming out of the shadows.” The Democrats and pro-amnesty crowd know full well that the American people are against amnesty, hence the avoidance of the “A” word. Republicans need to develop their own immigration lexicon that cuts through this Orwellian use of language.

I work in employment law, gotta keep up on what is going on. Don’t much care if you disagree, I keep my company out of court and I train others.

And, yes I am an Astronomer, its a hobby that accepts all faiths and and all politics. We look at stars and planets, and geek out on that, has nothing to do with politics.

But, feel free to continue your baseless attacks. LOL

I understand your concerns, caww, and, IMO you don’t have to be a Sarah supporter to be concerned about her best interests.Someone just told me that she’s going to AZ to appear at fund raisers for him and if that’s a fact, then I’m very much at ease with that.

The primary isn’t till the third week in August. Sarah is going to AZ in March. Her appearances will long be forgotten or seen as a kindness extended to her running mate. The people in AZ will decide McCain fate.

The Mitchell strategy was to turn all the college students in Tempe loose on JD in a newly-rejiggered district. I wouldn't doubt that Soros/moveon etc. etc. were involved.

And how do you figure he was a joke when he won five or six elections before that?

"Since Sept. 1, 2009"

Welcome to FR.

Not quite *sniff*, but not too appetizing either.

Cheers!

I have a second home in Scottsdale and my primary residence is in VA outside DC. You can vote for McCain. I had to hold my nose in 2008 and vote for him. Never again. You are not a conservative if you vote for McCain.

Now where did you see me post about amnesty, cap and trade, ANWR, Gitmo or limiting public speech?

Those are McCain's positions on those issues.

LOL

We all have opinions and votes we all get to make our own minds up, its American freedom. Its wonderful.

Follow what rules?

What? Are you suggesting that Sarah is for amnesty because she didn't name the rules?

What humane way is she talking about?

Are you saying that being humane and being against amnesty are mutually exclusive?

As stated, that is your argument.

Again, Sarah said that she is against amnesty.

Thank you for understanding where I’m at. Oddly I support her when someone outright knocks her..so that does tell me something. But I do understand peoples concerns.

It’s a very important time in our History, perhaps in my lifetime, of voting. I’m hoping this will go right..even if not quite all the way to ousting all the crap in congress...we’ve got a great chance of making a huge difference. It would be great to have a Pres. at the top of that who will be the spearhead thru the mess we have in Washington.

More than possible. I would say certain.

Pro-McCain and Christian-mocker.

And probably "would hit" Helen Thomas...
